Not bad, but absolutely linear. No real choices.
The game was fine. But fine isn't good enough to be worthy of recommendation. Maybe for $4 or $5 but for $8 to $10? Can't say I'd recommend this. I played the English version and without the NSFW content so I can't tell you if that makes it worthy of recommendation or not. If you're here because you're looking for a game that's friendly to colour and queer sexuality, come aboard! If you're looking for a JRPG and that part is important to you, probably don't waste your time. Things I liked: -a Queer story with a POC protagonist (even if Diego feels kind of bland and naive). I'm all about that sort of diversity and representation. -the character art is really good even if there isn't really enough of it (essentially just the 4 party members and then the end villain). Things that were just okay: -The story doesn't do anything particularly inventive but it's not exactly bad. It's queer friendly and enjoyable enough although as a bisexual I'd have loved a little inclusion there (not the end of the world though). -The gameplay itself is mostly serviceable. No glaring bugs or errors. -The sprites and spell effects are mediocre but they're not bad per se. Things I disliked: -The monster levels increase with your own -- this defeats the point of leveling up other than I suppose to unlock abilities. But there's no point where you can out level content if you need an edge. You never truly feel like you outpace them. -Dialogue doesn't tend to change even after you kill this thing or rid that villain. You're a hero of the kingdom and guards still call you stranger. -You have to do a separate solo quest with all 3 of the characters before they party up fully. Just feels frustrating to keep getting and losing them instead of gathering the party together as you go. Especially when they run off with your best gear. -You open up new abilities with your amulet but almost all of them are just used to let you on to the next location or don't provide value (you get a Scan ability but damage types are rarely important). -On that note, a lot of "you can't go here yet" stuff, which just feels frustrating after a point. Gotta get the colour of Red Friendship first!! -The game is extremely linear and extremely straightforward to the point of boredom with the exception of the very last dungeon and one late game boss. If this were food it'd be potatoes, and then potatoes with some salt and pepper. -All the story beats are predictable. Which isn't a crime but everything is all just cliche most of the time. -The characters are all just archtypes: the naive hero, the himbo elf warrior/jock, the cautious paternal wizard daddy, the closed off rogue/satyr -- they never behave in ways outside those strict and narrow archtypes and we don't spend enough time getting to know them to learn anything truly distinct about them outside the core plot requirements. -Only one boss fight that felt dynamic or interesting (the boss had different battle modes) but it was late in the game and not even the last boss. And you can just stun lock him (and 90% of everything else) into the ground. -The Last Boss throws around the F slur a whole bunch (f*g) and I did not like that at all. (there's plenty of ways to make your villain evil or vile without slurs, even if the villain is a raging homophobe). Conclusion The game is bland and unmemorable beyond the fact it's LGBQT+/racially diverse (which drew me to it) but doesn't hold up on it's own as a JRPG of any meaningful quality. If you're bored and wanna kill 10ish hours or so (I had a lot of afk time) then go for it but the game never spends enough time getting to know it's characters or even lingering on it's immediate conflicts to make any of them feel meaningful. I'd give the game a C. Enough to pass the class but nothing to brag about.
Stranger bought me this and I had to play it out of respect. It was made on my birthday
It's a game with interesting characters, each one with your own mechanics to battle, nice and sexy arts, rare black/latin protagonism, social critics and I recomend it!
Excellent support from the development team. The game has a good balance LOVE the NSFW addon. Great game everything about it is a great RPG. With the added bonus of content relevant for the target audience
Jogo divertido, bem abrasileirado e cheio de referências a atualidade... Gostei bastante e recomendo!
Pleasant 2d graphics, good choice of heroes and skills
a classic turn-based game, suitable for fans of the genre, in general there is a lot of text, there is something to read. RPG with the addition of free nsfw)))
