恶魔城精神续作 期待新作
:)
I tried a few times, but I just can't see what the appeal is to this game. Compared to good Metroidvanias (Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, aspects of Dead Cells) I don't see how this is considered "good" and not a cheap, misguided attempt at mimicking an old classic. Gameplay is slow and clunky. Enemies have a couple moves at most, many of them just float around at you. Some have moves but your only options to engage with them are to run in a direction, do a non-directional backstep, or a short slide. Most of these options aren't even necessary as you can backpedal or jump around everything. A lot of the combat seems to assume you take persistent damage here and there from the poor hitboxes, poor platforming, and slow attacks you swing (no moveset, just the one attack per weapon). Art direction is also just uninspired and ugly. You get some 2.5d versions of classics like bats, or those guys who huck an arcing bone, but then you have something like the floating pigs that just expand and stretch like old cgi test footage. Or the knight who revs his sword and just sort of points it at you. They're actively unpleasant to look at. Sound design is like an arcade fighting game (not really consistent with the rest of the soundtrack). Oh and you're constantly interrupted by upgrades you pick up from enemies (which are dropped based on rng) and as far as I can tell is how you get most powers/weapons. So you get to grind the same enemies however many times until you get the power of revving up a weed-hedger for yourself. I'm absolutely confused at how this is considered a faithful homage to a beloved classic and not like, the crappy ripoff relegated to some forgotten corner of an arcade. I also want to add that I was really hoping to enjoy this. I loved Blasphemous and I enjoyed the hell out of the challenge runs that were added to Blasphemous as a tie-in to this game.
very enjoyable game
好玩,但是我迷路了,很讨厌。妖精之歌很好听,音乐很棒,玩的也很过瘾。
This game is so beautiful that despite having it for free on another service, I bought it on steam just to re-experience everything again
Straightforward story, nice gameplay can be a bit grindy because there's a lot of upgrades you can do. The demon spawn each time you left the room is kinda unique, though it serves it's purposes. All the skills we get from boss fights basically just for navigation purposes, there's not a single boss that have a gimmick that revolves around the skills. The puzzle can be quite hard to solve by yourself. example there's a time where you need specific item to progress the map but, this specific item was on the edge of the map and you need to basically just explore to find it. Character design was very good, demons, npc, and main character fit the theme. I like that the equipment actually reflects on the mc although only for hats, accessories, and some of the clothes. Personally I enjoyed the grindiness of this metroidvania game.
Game is fun
Serviceable Metroidvania/Action-RPG with lots of replayability features and secrets. The gameplay feels smooth and the map is large enough you continuously discover new locations but aren't *too* lost (but still a little sometimes, this is a Metroidvania for a reason ;) ). Great inclusion to anyone's library if they wish to experience a nice and satisfying game that takes a little under 20 hours to complete.
