A Hat in Time

when i was younger i used to be OBSESSED with this game. i wanted a hat kid plush for my bday but they were out of stock on the fangamer store, so my mom emailed them about it. she told them how its my birthday n stuff and they responded by saying that they had 1 more plushie in a warehouse somewhere and that they love bdays, so they went out of their way and arranged something for me!!! i got it right on time. this story is really relevant to how i feel abt this game because i have nothing but fond memories of this game. its always nice to look back on and i always have a good time playing this over by myself or with a friend. its nothing but good vibes and the fact that its moddable is just the cherry on top. you can never go wrong with a session in this game :) ALSO YEAH playing couch co op with someone is Bliss with certain mods. maybe one of the most perfect couch co op experiences u can have with a friend

The best collect-a-thon game, hands down. I want a sequel so bad...

This is a literal must-play for any 3D platforming fan. Controls, music, theming, story, dialogue, and more are all excellent. Additionally, the two main DLC expansions (Seal the Deal and Nyakuza Metro) are exceptional. If you are considering buying this game, you should definitely buy those two alongside it for your first playthrough. There is admittedly not much reason to buy Vanessa's Curse as it's a dead online mode. My only real grievances are: 1) The game is not super well-optimized and has a tendency to run poorly, crash, or massively stutter on certain systems depending on your settings. You may have to edit the settings.ini file manually just to get the game to load. 2) Even after playing nearly 150hrs, the camera is a little tough to get used to. It fights REALLY hard and makes it so you essentially have to do some (totally optional) tricks blind because the camera is determined to zoom in and focus on like, the wall or a rock or something.

A Hat in Time - это афигенный трехмерный платформер, который моментально заряжает отличным настроением. Сначала мне было довольно сложно привыкнуть к платформингу, так как я раньше не играла в игры подобного жанра, однако освоившись, я получила огромное удовольствие от процесса. Управление здесь достаточно отзывчивое, а исследование ярких миров затягивает. Отдельно хочется отметить фирменный, немного сложноватый юмор, забавные ситуации и классных персонажей, в которых влюбляешься с первых минут. К сожалению не без минусов. Камера - явная проблема этой игры. Иногда не удавалось рассмотреть вещи под разными углами, ибо камера упиралась в какой-либо объект и резко приближалась, вела себя странно. Также небольшие непонятки с производительностью. Хотя тут может дело в моём калькуляторе + включённом OBS. Ну и жаль, что русского языка нет :( Это безумно милая, динамичная и увлекательная игра, которая в итоге мне очень понравилась. 8/10

An amazing platforming game with a wonderful soundtrack. Reminds me a lot of Super Mario Galaxy. It's just the right mix between fun and challenging with lots to offer and collect. The story is pretty simple, you play as Hat Kid and your goal is to collect enough time pieces to go back home. Although the game's setting is might be goofy overall, it does get serious and even scary at times. The optional rifts also have lots of touching stories and are really worth going after. The first two DLCs are a must-have, adding lots of stories and extra content to explore: Seal the deal offers an entire chapter and the deathwish challenges. Personally, I wasn't a fan of these challenges as I found them to be quite tedious and not very fun, but they are there if you wish to make the game a lot harder. Nyakuza Metro adds a big chapter to explore, as well as a new party system with lovely stickers that come with unique voicelines. And on top of all that, the workshop has a lot of levels and customization options, such as dyes and outfits, to choose from. Highly recommended! One of my favorite games of all time. 💜

Heard a lot about this game for years. Finally decided to play it and its a work of art! holds up amazingly almost 10 years later. The mechanics are fun and the visuals are goofy and cute. The boss battles are super cool and fun, dark souls got nothing on this.

Movement is fun and bouncy, the world is interesting and it has good pacing.

If you want to have a good time, have fun, and feel happy, this is the game for you. A Hat In Time is a very cheerful, friendly, and super fun game. The adventures with Hat Kid are unique, and the community is wonderful. Simply put, if you want to be happy, play A Hat In Time <3
