Still fun to play a decade and a half later.
Bastion is Supergiant Games’ very first title, and looking back now, it’s clear how much of a precursor it is to Hades. The DNA is all there: tight combat, strong atmosphere, unforgettable music, and that unmistakable Supergiant style that’s impossible to copy. If you loved Hades and somehow missed Bastion, it’s absolutely worth giving it a try. Think of it as the older brother — shorter, a bit simpler, but still packed with charm and a surprising amount of fun. As a bonus, the game runs perfectly on Steam Deck straight out of the box. No tweaks, no configuration, just install and play.
Fun short story game. Good if you're not really good at completing story games like me. Really pretty art style but combat starts to feel repetitive near the end of the game.
Can't believe I never reviewed this game. It's literally the greatest game ever made by anyone ever and that's not even an exaggeration.
Cool concept. Cool design. Horrible gameplay. Your character moves *way* too slow to manage the boss fights. I was being knocked into the air non-stop by the first boss, because by the time I could get back up, it was winding up to knock me into the air again. I had no time to recover from the previous knock-down, and I couldn't run fast enough to stay out of its range. I had no time or chance to create any kind of strategy to deal with it because I was constantly being knocked into the air. I'm sure the designers think that makes it "fun". And that was only the first boss. I noped out of the game after that. This game is defintely from a designer who thinks making boss encounters super frustrating makes it fun. Maybe if you're masochistic, but not if you're looking for a fun, challenging but fair fight. Fake difficulty isn't fun.
Man this game is an experience. Short but impactful. When I bought the game I did not expect to see a story that simulates institutional segregation in real life. Honestly, one of the best isometric games I played in a minute.
A apresentação é bem interessante.
Very nice game. It is better if you play it with a controller imo
