About
Astroneers undergo rigorous training to explore the frontiers of outer space for the good of all humankind. Creativity and ingenuity are key to their survival!
Astroneers are trained to use the Terrain Tool, a powerful instrument which can dig, collect, shape, build, and color terrain in any way they wish.
Build custom bases throughout the solar system to survive and thrive anywhere! Objects are snapped into place in a modular system that allows Astroneers to create unique builds. Automation systems, crafting stations, power plants, resource harvesters, and railway facilities are built from the ground up and can be customized to suit any situation.
This unrecognized system consists of seven celestial bodies. Each of them can be explored entirely, from the rounded surface all the way down into the core. Astroneers will have to grapple with their unique geography and challenging biomes if they seek to understand them.
These strange worlds are dotted with mysterious structures and artifacts, while Astroneers themselves receive confusing comms from unknown sources. Curious Astroneers may seek to understand these anomalies, and with them, the secrets of the solar system.
While they're perfectly capable on their own, Astroneers are team players who are always happy to offer a helping hand! Group up with other Astroneers and work together in 2-4 player online co-op. Playing solo online allows fellow Astroneers to drop in and out of your world at their leisure.
Astroneer began as an Early Access title on Steam in 2016, and reached 1.0 in 2019. We wouldn't be here today if not for our community's support, feedback, and ideation. As we continue on our journey, we want to reiterate our pledge to continue building on the foundation that is Astroneer with free, ongoing content updates.

Cute game, great graphics but somewhat style over substance. Certain areas of the game are really hard work, e.g .moving items in and out of your bag and into storage. Overall cute game but only viable if you use mouse and keyboard - far too fiddly for a controller.
I've never encountered such a badly explained game where you are just left to wander around without any guidance whatsoever. Where do I find the components I need to find?! The mission log just says find X but doesn't guide me to knowing where the ♥♥♥♥ they are. Doesn't explain where I need to find components and there is also a bug where you get stuck between 's tyres a buggy at the very beginning of the game and end up suffocating.
I have played this on and off for since the beta on steam and widows store platform, about 3 days is all I can stomach and then I get pissed off that this many years later they can't fix the camera, off screen cursor bug, and save file corruption bug. you go into a cave, the camera zooms in..... AND NEVER ZOOMS BACK OUT.... WTF you go by a rock, the camera zooms in.... AND NEVER ZOOMS BACK OUT.... WTF you even get close to anything, the camera zooms in.... AND NEVER ZOOMS BACK OUT.... you go into a crashed ship and the camera zooms in.... and all you can see is your but or crotch of your character and you can't loot or clear anything come on this is basic game dev 101 and they still can't fix it Half the time in this game is spent fighting the camera look the first few years, yea ok..... But it was a playable release Dec 2016!!!!!!!!! the money has been rolling in since then and they still can't fix the camera What makes it worse it really wasn't this broken back before release, but it just keeps getting worse, why is the default to zoom into the crotch of the character where you can't see anything? and then there is the "feature" when your using the extraction tool and you mouse too close to the edge the game freezes, your mouse cursor goes somewhere way off screen, the extraction tool gets perma-turned on, and you have to fight to get the cursor back on the screen (more micro freezes) and then destroy everything around you till the game finally realizes you let go of the mouse button 10 minuets ago and have been wildly clicking it to stop(and no it doesn't matter if its windowed or full screen mode) these 2 worsening bugs and the fact that it is still COMMON PLACE that you start a new game play for a few hours, or even several time, and you go back to play your save and the save will not load and this has been an on going issue for YEARS and still not fixed.
Astroneer. Imagine Minecraft, but from 3rd perspective, in space. The game looks beautiful. Gameplay is easy to learn and master. Mechanics aren't too hard, and mistakes don't entirely punish the player. I love the ambience, the multiplayer experience, and the ability to destroy everything on your path. Good 8/10

Imagine having to pay cash for cosmetics in a singleplayer game.
