It's written in Godot which is cool. It's supposed to be Raft-in-Space which is also cool. It ultimately ends up being a rock fetch simulator which isn't that cool. It sadly has a common problem: the Raft doesn't move--which seems to be a fault of every "raft in space" game. There is no automation. All of the inventory sorting is manual. All of the loading machines is manual. You have to build dozens of copies of the same machine for different recipes and manually mind them as they clog up or need resources. Space Trash Scavenger came out more recently and is better about this; you can at least leave boxes of resources to grind and process while you are flying all over creation with a jet pack (because this is a spaceship game so of course the spaceship doesn't do anything.) I played just outside the return window having heard about the crystal grind. I thought, perhaps, the ship would at least get functional before then. The ship is never functional. The ship will never do anything to be helpful. It's literally just an immobile slab for you to slap waiting machines on between grinding for crystals. I don't know if they will ever fix it. Perhaps they will. Until then, I don't recommend it. I bought it on a sale for 13$ for about 4.3$/hr of fun (where most games I buy tend to be about 1-2$/hr) which made it quite expensive for what I received. Didn't try multiplayer; have no friends.
This game is adorable and looks very fun, but in it's current state I cannot recommend it in good faith. Within the first 15 minutes of attempting to play the game it had crashed 3 separate times. I couldn't even get 10 straight minutes of gameplay without the game crashing. I'm shocked admittedly, my computer rarely, if ever, has issues with running games no matter how simple or complex the game might be. Very sad to see this happen with Drift. :[ I love the idea of this game and was very excited to play it. Although I will be unable to play this game currently, I'm excited to see this game develop further and hopefully become more optimized. I'll be keeping an eye out for any updates this game has in the future. I hope someday it will be in shape for me to play it again! :]
A fun and chill survival experience, Drift feels like a relaxed version of voidtrain in space. It manages to strike, for me, the right balance between survival game grind and progression - that is to say I was able to always see what my next goal was, and how to work towards it, but it required a little back and forth in the way you expect from games in the genre. At the moment it is quite light on content, but what is there is a very solid foundation and I'm looking forward to seeing what the game becomes over its life in early access. Try out the demo - if you like the demo, you will likely have a good time here :)
I truly haven't felt this engaged in a survival crafting game the way I am in Drift in years (Probably since Minecraft or Terraria). I won't say it's exactly what I want, but it gets SO close to it. Also, the development team is so wonderful, they deserve all the love their players are giving them.

Great game so far. Devs are doing a great job adding things and expanding the game
I've been playing a few similar games lately, and this one "feels" better than the others. What do I mean? If 0 is actual vacuum and 10 is a lake on the Earth's surface, the other games feel like about a 5 or 6 in terms of inertial dampening. I had to spend whatever fuel that movement required to get up to speed and was then almost immediately slowed to a stop. In contrast, Drift feels like about a 0.5. The slowdown is there, but it's gentle enough to believe that I'm in a particularly dense gas cloud in space rather than an actual liquid. The "fuel" (gas and, later, energy) is harder to come by, but it feels like it should be. The exploration is interesting and it's fun to slingshot my way through the rock field. The dev is very responsive to feedback and I've seen hotfixes go out within hours of a bug report more than once. I suspect I'm near the end of this playthrough, but I'll definitely be back later.
Bonjour est ce que vous savez si le jeux sera en français par la suite Merci d'avance pour la réponse 🙂
10/10 As Stable as a chair with one leg.
Super chill game. Love me some crafting in space and this game does it well.
