Assassin's Creed® Origins

In my opinion, after Syndicate and Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Origins is the best game in the franchise. I am well aware that I am in the minority here, especially since Valhalla and Syndicate received mixed reviews from most players.Just like Valhalla, the world is massive and packed with interesting locations to explore. Egypt and its regions are beautifully crafted down to the finest detail. Even when you are traveling through the desert with nothing but sand around you, you still stop to admire the view and the graphics. Bayek is one of the best-written characters in the entire series. His tragic story deeply connects you to his character, making you genuinely care about his quest for justice and revenge, which forms the core of the Origins plot.What captivated me the most was the origin story of the Assassin Brotherhood and how it was founded in ancient Egypt, especially the story behind the object that inspired the franchise's iconic logo. The side quests never feel tedious or repetitive because they tell their own stories that tie directly into the main plot. As for the Platinum trophy, you need to prepare for a lot of work. Literally every single location must be discovered, along with every secret hidden deep underground, on land, underwater, and high above. All in all, I give it a 9/10. Why not a 10? Because I have never been a fan of desert themes, nor did I enjoy ancient Greece in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. However, due to Bayek's character, the stunning graphics, the beautifully realized Egypt, and especially the story, my thematic preferences became irrelevant. I even managed to achieve the Platinum trophy for both the base game and its DLCs.

My journey as Bayek, hunting the order of ancients through a mystical rendition of Egypt, and experiencing the origin of the Creed first hand was absolute peak immersion. Experiencing Origins elevated Assassins Creed to one of my favourite franchises in gaming.
