This game has a serious identity crisis, it doesn't try anything new outside of the sync-rate mechanics which I will admit was cool and all, but it has flaws when it becomes a tug of war match with every enemy in the game. From boring level design to predictable story lines, I found this game to be quite dull throughout. This game also came out around the same time as Khazan, which honestly hurt it a bit more since that game in comparison is the better title considering that the parry windows in AI: Limit feel very delayed and not as responsive to the latter. I understand that this game isn't an elitist souls-like game, but we live in a time where you could've at least ironed out some of the areas so they aren't constant runbacks nor uninspired enemy variants to fight. To any souls veteran I would say save your money and play Lies of P, or Khazan instead, however this game services an entry level souls beginner perfectly in my opinion. This would be a great title if you are looking for a somewhat easier experience into the genre, but even then I'd still recommend Lies of P over this which mind you came out a year before this game and still feels authentic in its own way in presentation and identity over AI: Limit. The few things I did enjoy were the voice acting, all characters had solid deliveries of lines, even though I felt that the writing was somewhat easy to see where it was going. The sync-rate mechanics mixed in combat management and spell usage was actually fun at times, but once you figure out which spells are reliable vs ones that are easily countered by any enemy attack it becomes a game of hit and run - which gets boring kind of quickly. I feel wrong for giving this a thumbs down, I wish I could be neutral on this one, but I want to be honest and say that someone should only be purchasing this game if its on sale.
巧克力味的屎,傲慢,打折还100多不如正经买个魂,或者买个只狼,仁王啥的,再不济买个吃血代码
Summary: A good souls-like, if you buy into its strengths and forgive its weaknesses. Combat: Combat is fluid, and there are very few checkmate situations. I can think of two off the top of my head, both including grabs. Multiple phase bosses are used sparingly and this preserves the uniqueness. The input buffer is good, better than Dark Souls III. Boss AIs are varied, and this also gives the game flavor to break up the pace. Weapon variety (at least with greatswords) was good, there are generally three types (swords, lances, scythes) and this kept combat varied. Music: The music is appropriate and seamless. it is in the background and doesn't stand out, which is a good thing in a game like this. Level Design: The levels are fairly linear. Branching paths, open expanses, and good use of verticality is present. There is one area that reminds me of the Great Tree in Dark Souls. Jumping down was frustrating at this point, and I had to change my controller screen to navigate this area. Other level design aspects also remind me of Dark Souls 1, so the DNA is clear. Not original, but at least inspired by the best. Lore: Here's where the game falls short. The story is presented in a way that sometimes devolves into exposition. The factions are diagetically interesting, but the developments are fairly standard and predictable. Overall: In my opinion, this game is decently enjoyable, if you forgive its flaws. I could definitely see the studio making a sequel. For me, this game is a 7/10. It is good, but one playthrough is enough for me.
我觉得做很好也很好玩.
It's an OK game at start, gets too boring after a while!
