Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Reviews
I was originally going to give this game a negative review, and before you come for my neck, let me explain why I ended up switching to a positive one. First of all, and this is a warning to anyone thinking about buying the game: the optimization and performance are absolutely atrocious. I spent more time trying to make the game look and run properly than I did on some of the bosses. No joke. That alone was almost enough for me to leave a negative review. My other major complaint is the loot system. There is so much worthless loot in this game that it becomes frustrating. I'm not a fan of fully exploring an area only to be rewarded with another useless pebble or crafting material instead of something that feels meaningful. Exploration should feel rewarding, and a lot of the time here it simply doesn't. But... The more I played, the more I realized there's actually a pretty decent game underneath those issues. The build variety is surprisingly good and gives you a lot of freedom to experiment. There are plenty of weapon types, and from my experience, almost every combination feels viable. I started with a Polearm and Longsword setup, then switched to Dual Swords and a Poleaxe around the mid-to-late game. Both playstyles felt fun and effective while offering completely different approaches to combat. The Main boss fights are also pretty enjoyable. They're not brutally difficult—you'll probably beat most of them within 2 to 4 attempts—but they do a good job of feeling unique. The game keeps introducing different mechanics and attack patterns, so the encounters rarely feel repetitive. And that final boss from DLC 3? Absolutely fantastic fight. Another thing I appreciated was how approachable the game is. It has enough challenge to stay engaging without becoming frustrating, making it a nice middle ground between casual action games and harder Souls-likes. Ironically, I started playing this game just before the sequel was announced. After finishing it, I can honestly say I'm excited for the next one and hope the developers address the biggest issues here—especially the performance problems and loot bloat. So where do I land? Despite the horrible optimization and questionable loot rewards, I ended up having a genuinely good time. The combat is fun, the builds are varied, and the bosses are memorable enough to keep you pushing forward. If you can tolerate the performance issues, there's a solid game here that's worth playing. Just be prepared to spend some time tweaking settings before you get to enjoy it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 6.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game does not work with controllers apparently. I tried it with and without Steam Input and the menu is bugged out like crazy. Every time I try to select up or down it does it and then goes right back to where it was. I tried a couple different things and just couldn't get it to work with a controller. So it's a hard pass from me.
Great adventure very fun, after not enjoying the demo fully back when it released I gave it another try and finished all base game + dlc main missions and also all secondary missions, all flags all panda all collectibles blabla it felt like an underrated PS3 game I missed out on back in the day it's a very videogamy game (in a good way lol). Way more content and bosses than I expected, this game just doesn't seem to end, the 3 DLCs bring some welcome gnarly new enemies to alleviate one of the game's weak points, perhaps the biggest, after 5 hours of play time you have pretty much with a few exceptions seen the entire enemy roster the game has to offer for it's 20 or so hours of playtime when it comes to the main missions without DLC, also I enjoyed exploring every level (the last of the DLC is a confusing fkn maze but still nice in retrospect) I think the layouts and level design and enemy placement are very tasteful and engaging. I had to send NPCs away at the start of every mission with an item if I wanted to play the mission alone which is kinda odd, is playing in coop with bots supposed to be the definitive experience? Guess I'll never know... Countering Critical Blows (red glowing attacks from enemies) in this game is so satisfying with the over the top animations for the attacks and respective counters, and crystal shatter sfx of the counter, the high risk high reward tied to it via the morale system makes it even better, you just want to find the next boss and see what type of unexpected crazy attacks it has in store for you, last time a gameplay mechanic felt this much like crack was "Steel On Bone" from Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. TLDR; Sometimes all you need is a fun 8/10, might try Nioh one day to see how it feels compared to this.
Probably one of my favorite Team Ninja games, which says a lot. There are some performance issues and I'd say the content variety is probably like a 6/10, but the actual gameplay is 9/10 for me, especially during bosses. It's like Sekiro but with less rhythm focus and more DPS and aggression allowed. Also Wolong 2 just got announced, so probably get it on sale or just wait for Wolong 2. Overall: 7/10, but based off preferences and patience regarding performance issues, could go down to 5/10 or up to 9/10, based off what makes or breaks a game for you. It also has one of my favorite game OSTs ever.
combat deserves every bit of praise it gets. the deflect system is incredibly fluid, hitting this sweet spot somewhere between sekiro's parries and nioh's flexibility. when you're locked into a 1v1 with a boss, reading their attacks and landing perfect dodges and counters, it's some of the best action combat i've played. but for some reason the game is convinced you don't want that experience. companions are shoved into every mission and the game ties gear and loyalty rewards to dragging them along, so dismissing them feels like you're being punished for wanting a solo challenge. also, they constantly yell battle cries on every skill, grunt on every hit taken, and spout generic, over-the-top "heroic" lines on loop. i genuinely don't know who in the target demographic for this game is asking for more bot companions, but koei tecmo clearly does. level design and mission structure, while not bad per se, are just kind of meh, and i feel either proper level design or being a boss rush would improve this game a lot. the story and worldbuilding are... there... unless you already like and are deep into three kingdoms lore, good luck caring about any of it. in any case, the writing is definitely not good by any stretch of the imagination. oh, and as always, this game features the hallmarks of a ton of overengineered, useless mechanics and a garbage loot system designed entirely around calls to a random number generator. so, recommending this game boils down to whether you can stomach the NPCs screaming in your ear and/or are OK with missing out on stuff for not using them. even if you can, the deflect system alone makes it worth a look if you can find a really good price. in any case, i'd recommend buying on sale and always provided you've played and enjoyed all other better alternatives like khazan and nioh 3. if not, then don't bother.
Game gets really repeatitive after 5 hours. Copy paste maps (main battlegrounds / sub battlegrounds). There's endless useless loot which fills up inventory and finding good gear from inventory is frustrating. Some of the bosses are good, but many of them are just annoying because of the fighting arena size. 2/5 would not buy again.
Cautiously recommending this game...beware that it is 90% combat based. Why is that bad? If you're expecting the rich world building or exploration of Sekiro or souls-like games, you WILL NOT find it here. Each area is effectively a closed in level where you have to raise banners to raise your power in that level before starting all over on the next. The loop is: start level - find banners & fight enemies - fight boss - repeat. However, I absolutely love the combat. It's fast, clean, flashy, and parrying enemies feels satisfying. I'm hoping the sequel builds upon this and gives us a more open world rather than individual levels.
