The game is in a very early alpha state so you are better off spending money on any of the other games in this category when you want a fun exploration and base building game. Pros: * Visuals and music are promising and environment looks fun * Loads quickly and performance is fine Cons: Some of these are just some observations and quality of life things you take for granted when playing a game like this, but they feel really bad when they are not there (yet) * UI feels sloppy with wonky margins and text rendering, which is a big downside when you have to spend a lot of time looking at it (ie. it's not an action game) * There is a separate crafting screen, which means you spend a lot of the game just staring at an animation on an icon (instead of the fun environment) * Icons don't have mouse-over info and are sometimes obscured by their shortcut number or item count, which makes it hard to make out what it is when you're starting the game * The crafting screen doesn't show your inventory so you have to guess which items you can actually craft, meaning you just have to click everything to find out * The inventory is relatively small in relation to the number of items you need for the starting items so you need to craft boxes and do a lot of inventory management * Inventory management doesn't feel snappy and there is no "take all" option
Well, maybe it's a good game. But I just can't stand the picture. The grass is HUGE. It makes it hard to see anything. On the other hand UI elements are way too small. It's not a pleasurable picture. Makes it difficult to play. Also Ctrl+click to attack in a twin-stick kinda game is lame. It would be better to switch exploration/combat modes.
I like almost everything about this game. The stylized game design is unique. The combat works well enough for early access. It's fun. Exploration is rewarding and they do a good job of not dictating your journey in this exploration game in a heavy-handed way, which can often be the case. The only negative for me is the vertical camera angle is fixed at the ground. In this type of game, even when you're "outside" it feels like a dungeon crawler. I feel this constant need to add a little sky to this otherwise excellent survival-craft and base-building exploration game.
This game is fun. I have no idea how the save game works. I say this as I encountered a bug, and had to reload the game. All the quests reset, as I had to force close the game. While I did refund this game, I will wait until it is out of early access to re-purchase it.
Really looking forward to following this game as it progresses. Great game!
Absolutely amazing! Combat is great - but not forced, you can have plenty of fun trying to avoid combat. The grind is fun, especially early game, when to get iron you have to sneak around the Mechanoids. Its always fun to explore, and then having to go through and set up camps as you get deeper in is so much fun, and adds so much to the immersion!
I’ve been having a really good time with this game so far. The art style is beautiful and it has a relaxing vibe.. it’s one of those games you can just sit back with and unwind :) the world feels alive and there’s always something new to explore. It's still in early access and the devs are clearly passionate and keep improving the game with updates. I’m having a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing how it grows over time. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy chill survival and exploration games.
This is a fun crafting game with a lovely palette and overall vibe. It is a good low-stakes game to chill and unwind from the day, although intensity is there if you go looking for it! Highly recommended. Updates and fixes have been coming regularly since Early Access release :D
the game has a lot potential, other review says that if anyone buy this game they need to see it as investment. i couldn't agree more. but for now i feel the investment's worth the risk since the Dev really active responding on Discord.
