I really wanted to like this game. Didn't mind the early grind and finally crafting some upgrades felt great to help with taking out the lower pirate camps. Then all of a sudden some lifepods crashed near my base. 6-8 level 80 pirates showed up and chased me endlessly, no spawn reset by the looks of it, and just killed me over and over. I'm not even sure why having maximum level boss mobs drop in out of nowhere, even if you're max level with the best gear, at any time, would be a good idea. Like ever. What situation in any game would justify that kind of weirdness let alone at the beginning of your play-through. Just completely ruined my entire experience and I'm sure as hell not starting over.
no updates in 5 mo, im thinking this is a cash grab.
Way to grindy. 5 advanced construction kits for MkII turret, resources required for one is shocking Vs the damage the turrets do. Ships require way too much material and are weak, slow and poorly armed. Repair costs for items is too high, especially with the repair machine you can unlock. Constantly moving stuff around inventories to make items is a PITA and the way resources are generated is terrible. Resources are splattered all over the place and in copy and paste caves. Combat is boring even with a jetpack. Whom ever designed the encounters needs a head exam. You tag one enemy and you get ganked by everything that spawns. Bullets only stack to 100, so you need to have stacks and stacks of ammo, the material cost for fusion ammo is stupid.
This game has A LOT of potential after playing it for a few hours, but there are currently so many glitches and issues that I have lost the desire to keep playing. For example, I created a small base and later decided to make the large prefab base. Went back to destroy the small base for materials, and came back to most of my stuff in the prefab destroyed or completely missing. Work on the glitches and issues, make the quests make sense and keep something on the screen, and just keep pushing forward. This game isn't ready for people to be spending money on it yet.
I think this game is about 1-2 major releases from being a solid early access game. And another 2-3 major releases from being a solid 1.0 contender. I love the idea, I love many of the mechanics. The game is just ROUGH around the edges to the point of being almost unplayable. I'd suggest waiting for a few more big releases, but then totally jump onboard.
Nice but I cannot recommended the game in current state (update 1.8. from 11 2025). Ive played singleplayer on old i5 3570k and GTX 1060 6GB, medium details with FSR. Bug: enemies random spawning, even when Im fighting with them (Im running and shooting and they disappear). Cons: - Bad map, no compass or craft flags for interesting places. - No inventory/craft filter or sorting. - Limiting building, foundation cannot be placed on a lot of terrain, not close to other base. - No tutorial, sort missions by level. All missions are impossible at lvl 3. - Jamming on obstacles (flora). Pros: + Beautiful nature, 4 or more bioms, grose scifi food :D + Crafting, leveling character, sword, bow, pistol. + Good ambient music and animal sounds. + scanning, jumping with jetpack.
Don't get it right now, It needs fixing but optimization is great, render takes awhile. This game is really nice but expect to save manually cuz you will crash. Star wars survival game, yes. The combat is bad though, especially the melee with dodge rolls.
A would be decent "Poor Man's Sky" if you will... There are no collision settings - you can be trapped inside an enclosure simply by another player or an NPC standing in the door way. Combat is trivial which would be fine if it weren't so frequent - the "Runners" seem to come to you from all angles of the map and there is no clear rhyme or reason for why they spawn so often. Building still needs a lot of work also. Will probably be good eventually, but it's just not great at the moment.
This game is amazing. I watched YouTubers play it when it first came out, but held off because of the mixed reviews. After the last update, I decided to give it a try and WOW, maybe the update solved a lot of the issues players were having (I'm not sure) but I'm having a blast. Yeah, I have run into a few glitches and I could list a dozen QoL updates that would help the game, but nothing that would be a deal killer. I hope the devs don't give up hope and keeps updating the game because it's a gem.
My pc is over de recommended spec and still get out of memory, look like a bad memory management.
