It's a game I was hoping to like as it sounds like a perfect combination of dark fantasy, hack n slash ARPG and loot. All the elements kinda fall flat though. The Warhammer setting is underutilized, with no epic story no open world and no interesting NPCs. The hack n slash gameplay is tedious and repetitive just fighting the same few enemies in the same few settings. The loot system is boring with basic stats on gear that you'll constantly be replacing often multiple times per level, even after the early game. It's a game that overstays it's welcome quickly and never stops reminding you that there are much better games in the genre that you could be playing.

Game does not revolutionize any part of Hack 'n Slash genre, however it is a great introduction for someone who never played Diablo, Path of Exile, Grim Dawn, etc. All the faults highlighted by other reviewers - lack of depth to combat, not enough build variety, short campaign, etc. work great as an introduction to the genre. You don't need to spend time to read somewhere how to properly "optimize" your build, the game allows you to compare gear and gives you immediately two numbers - attack and defense - and the impact of each new piece of gear. In short: pick the difficulty you are comfortable with, then equip items if they show "green" vs. what you already have. When it came out the game was criticized for various features or objects being available as a DLC, that is still the case. I recommend hunting somewhere the Slayer Edition which includes all the DLC released and can be found for sub-$5, it's difficult to argue with such a price for what you get (all the add-ons, the DLC chapters, the Witch Hunter character). Game runs great on SteamDeck, I limit FPS to 45, almost no fan sound + more than 4 hours of battery life. Another great advantage vs. e.g. Torchlight II is full native controller support. No trouble fiddling with the controls, everything is immediately mapped to the pad. I personally bought it for my 4-year old son, he is having great fun clicking on monsters and as mentioned - the simplicity of the game makes it way easier for him to understand what he is supposed to do.

Despite 75 FPS, games feels unresponsive and cluncky. What a joke.

Ну eбать, она какая-то тягомотная. Берём квест-идём в локацию-выходим, снова идём через весь город до квест-гивера и обратно до входа в локацию. И так по кругу. Выглядит приятно, очень похожа на д3, похожая система скиллов, но можно использовать только кол-во скиллов исходя из максимального кол-ва свободных очков. Только это ломается потому что во время боя можно свободно их менять, очки на дереве навыков можно сбрасывать только в городе, но там 5 шаблонов можно сделать. Купил полный набор на яндексе за три с небольшим сотки. Переобуваюсь, но только на одну ногу. После 2-го акта становится не так нудно, остальные акты проходятся быстрее. После 4-го акта и прохождения основного сюжета закрыто ещё много пассивных умений, это типа ещё играть? А зачем? Д3 всё ещё жива за счёт сезонов и рейтингов, здесь последнее обновление было 4 года назад. Это не плохая, но оставленная арпг.
