Reviews
I was skeptical about this game at first but boy , after you immerse in it a bit, the warhammer 40k setting , lore and style design accompanies the ARPG gameplay very well. I recommend trying this out.
As fun as the game is with the weapons, classes, enemies, etc, i cant bring myself to recommend this game as for myself and my friends (Unsure about others) we keep getting more game breaking bugs and glitches as we play, not to mention that the 4 main classes have a split story from the mechanics class with the game, so there will be difficulty to try coop story together, some fixes that would help are a few bug fixes and a notice for classes with diffrent story direction, hope this review helps others

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, along with its Prophecy expansion, ended up being a lot more enjoyable than I expected. I’m usually not into ARPGs, so I went in thinking it would be a pretty whatever experience but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit more than I thought. I started off with the Tech-Priest campaign, which in hindsight might have skewed things a bit, especially since it's part of the Prophecy DLC and has its own, separate campaign and I didn't exactly know that going in. Semi-unrelated, but that class is busted; you can lean heavily into summons and let your constructs do a lot of the work, so it is not exactly the most skill-intensive way to play. Still, I had fun with it, and it's definitely satisfying watching your mechs tear through enemies while you hang back. The story is fine. It's not bad, but it is definitely not the highlight. It does its job and gives you a reason to keep moving forward, but like most ARPGs, the real focus is on the gameplay loop. And yeah, that loop does get repetitive over time; you're running missions, clearing enemies, grabbing loot, and doing it over, and over, and over, and over again. I pushed to around level 70 before stopping, mostly because my goal was just to finish the main campaign and the Prophecy content, plus some. There were a couple of annoyances though. I ran into this weird graphical issue during that Khorne blood rain effect, the screen would randomly flicker to black and back, which got pretty annoying and could potentially end a run for someone. On top of that, I noticed some weird internal framerate fluctuations as my FPS was high and stable, but the game still felt like it was slowing down at times, which made movement and combat feel less smooth than it should have been. Not that big a deal to me, but some are less forgiving than I am with those kinds of things. Overall, even though it has the usual ARPG grind and some rough edges, I had a better time with it than I expected. It is not something I would sink hundreds of hours into, but for playing through the campaign and DLC, it was a solid experience that surprised me in a good way.
Inquisitor - Martyr is fine. It's a decent enough Diablo-like but it's far too repetitive. The missions are all but the same, the enemies all feel mostly the same, the objectives don't have much variety. It feels like this was a 10 hour game stretched way beyond the ability of it's fun, complexity, mechanics and story. While I find the story to be the best part of the game, it's drip fed by random letters and between missions with maybe a few paragraphs of dialog. The voice acting itself ranges from solid to god awful. I got Martyr in a bundle, and at that low price of entry I'm happy with the value I received. I am enjoying my time with Martyr enough to keep playing a few short missions in a session, but I rarely look forward to my time with the game. If you like Warhammer 40K AND Diablo this game gets a mild recommendation, if neither of these are your jam I'd pass on Inquisitor - Martyr.
You can either be one of those insufferably grindy games that wants players to be online all the time OR have network issues that make actually playing online borderline impossible. Not both.
This game is a HUGE drain on ram and cpu, and you will probably run into serious issues getting everything working unless you have an uber rig. Change the graphics card in the options menu (defaults to integrated GPU), turn off shadows, character flashlight and cap fps at 40. There, I just saved you two hours and a whole lot of freezes. Also, the Definitive Edition does NOT include all DLC. Devs left one out because they think they're clever. Besides all that, the game is a very good, straightforward ARPG in the 40k setting with lots of progression and depth. Lots of bugs and poor optimization though.
