Alright, after 16 hours, I think I'm a point where I can comfortably say this game might not be for me. In fact, I'm not entirely sure who this game might be for, except the terminally unemployed. Avoiding any big spoilers, the game expects you to restart numerous times. There are 200+ floors and you will be seeing them a lot as the game sends you back to the start again and again. There ARE technically a few ways to "skip" some chunks of levels, but you won't be finding out how until you're neck-deep into the game already. Speaking of which, this game is absolutely LOADED with esoteric secrets and you will only be given vague hints on how to find them. Did you miss one on a previous floor? Time to restart and do it all over again. You will lose hours and hours of progress, having to repeat the same puzzles on your way back, because you didn't pick up one tile in one spot that you would've never known until 30 floors later, when the game finally decides to let you know via some cryptic riddle. Even if you look up a guide, it doesn't make the puzzles any less tedious; you WILL encounter that one agonizingly-long puzzle you beat 3 hours ago and have to do it all over again, step-by-step, one tile at a time, because you accidentally got teleported back to Level 1, or missed a secret puzzle room that gives you an essential item and had to restart, etc. I appreciate what the game is trying to do with its alluring story and aura of mystery, but this game is asking me to devote months of time to experience it and I just can't do that. If you can, more power to you, but I can't in good faith see myself recommending this game to my friends.

If this game isn’t for you it will infuriate you. If however this game is for you, it wall also infuriate you, but you will still bang your face into its solid edifice anyways, and keep pushing on, concussed and infuriated, but also determined. And it will be worth every second and every penny of its cost. I really wish I could say definitely whether this game is for someone or not but you genuinely don’t know until you try. And you really need to try it regardless, it’s deserving even if you ultimately realize you are not in fact, an insane person. 10/10 would pace around room shouting nonsense about what could be the next thing to do while my wife laughs at my frustration. And I will never look at a black statue and staircase the same every again, certainly not without the most extreme of distrust for sure…
I don't think I've felt quite as rewarded for the time put into a game as here. Bring a notebook and do your best.
This game is like the dark souls of puzzle games, but not in the difficulty sense (though it can be quite hard at least for me it was at time) It is like dark souls in the sense that the game hides incredible depth in mechanics, lore and meta progression but it never tells you about it. You have to find out yourself, frankly I recommend a guide if you don't pick up on the hints the game gives you as it would be criminal to stop playing the game without unlocking it's real depth. 2 tips, question everything, it is easy to think you are limited only to certain actions so just think outside the box (lol you will get it). Finally, the game can be quite unforgiving in making you start over if you miss something, but that doesn't matter until you actually start diving into it's depths so don't get discouraged!
Best puzzle game I have ever played, this game will never give you answers, you must observe it yourself, or you will never uncover everything there is to see oh and a warning, this game is a slow burn, there is much to see than what's shown at a surface level, this is much more than a sokoban game, I hope you can persevere.
Pretty darn good game. Loved the music, the puzzle side of the game was nice. Story was overall nice. So if you like puzzle games with story in them you should definitely give the game a go. If you do, do not stop 👁️👁️
the best puzzle game that you can give to someone who is severely autistic about puzzle games
its really good... frustrating though... ... ... ... ... ... ... play it... shorter than i expected but took me longer than i expected...
Void Stranger is the type of game that fundamentally alters your brain chemistry, its borderline hypnotic at times. This is the type of game where the less you know going in to it the better, So I'll keep it simple, This game is worth every cent. Its a truly incredible experience from start to end, even factoring in the occasional bouts of frustration. Keep with it, its worth it.
