Umineko When They Cry - Answer Arcs

It's a neutral review and, sadly, I think I'm leaning to a thumb down more. As much as I was excited about the Questions part, these 'Answers' are so disappointing and frustrating :( SPOILERS ahead. I believe I'd like it so much more if just one thing was presented differently – the name of the story :( I did expect to see some clear answers, get my closure and move on happily keeping this exciting experience in my memory. Alas, what a reader receives is an ambiguous, vague, convoluted, extremely long story and...nothing at the end. And I've always been a fan of 'open endings' where you can become a co-writer, co-creator and imagine that kind of ending you deem perfect using some of the hints presented in the story. I wonder why I didn't feel it here. Is it because readers eager to find the truth are compared with nasty goat-monsters in the story?! That was utterly mean, I'm not offended, I'm just disappointed with this condescending attitude. Is it because it looked totally hypocritical to claim truth means nothing when you know it! It felt absolutely understandable for Ange to seek it with everything she had, it was natural no arguments could change that because they were weak! But suure when she did learn everything, she joined them saying it didn't matter O_O But that's how it works -- I get all the facts, compare and make a conclusion if something else is more significant. As usual, don't pay attention to the time played indicator as the novel was just left idle a lot. I'm not even sure why it turned out that way, I guess I wasn't hooked enough & the story is too long, I got bored often. And, sadly, English is not that good here with typos and rather simple vocabulary. I felt reluctant to say goodbye to the characters I spent so much time with. Though even all this 'love' nonsense couldn't make me change my negative attitude to some of the chars. Some scenes made me real emotional, with waves of goosebumps, I'm always grateful for that kind of experience. I guess, that fact that my expectations were deceived is not necessarily the story's fault, maybe I should be more flexible and open-minded but I can't change what I felt. Umineko is an incredibly long visual novel, but it is an immensely enjoyable journey. The work challenges you as a reader to solve the riddles and mysteries, placing you before the ultimate question: Will you believe in magic or not? The storytelling and character writing are so masterpiece-tier that it is impossible to forget some of them, even after decades. Words cannot describe the sheer greatness of this story! If you are analytical and genius enough, you will be able to solve the riddles, uncover 80% to 85% of the truths, and maybe even foresee the ending before it happens. Make sure you read the question arcs first! This is a direct continuation of them! No spoilers: Umineko is my undisputed media GOAT. The characters, the story, the atmosphere, and the soundtrack are all exemplary. It’s a story I could easily spend hours complaining about my gripes, but days talking about how peak it is. Purchased after reading the Umineko project version (which I do prefer, although the og Ryukishi sprites are also lovely in their own right).
