About
Underrail is an old-school turn-based isometric indie role-playing game that focuses on exploration and combat.
The game is set in a distant future, when life on the Earth’s surface has long since been made impossible and the remnants of humanity now dwell in the Underrail, a vast system of metro station-states that, it seems, are the last bastions of a fading race.
The player takes control of one of the denizens of such a station-state whose life is about to become all that much more interesting and dangerous, as our protagonist is caught amidst the conflicting factions of the Underrail as they violently struggle to survive in the harsh underground environment.
The game's turn-based combat features many different weapon types - pistols, rifles, crossbows, energy weapons, sledgehammers, knives and more, each with their own advantages and drawbacks.
The player is also able to learn powerful psionic abilities from one of the three psionic schools:
Metathermics - Burn your enemies alive or freeze them to death.
Psychokinesis - Use the power of telekinesis for offensive or defensive purposes or electrocute your foes.
Thought Control - Assault the minds of your enemies by overloading them, instilling overwhelming fear, creating deadly hallucinations and more.
For those looking to avoid direct confrontation, the game offers a set of subterfuge skills. Move around the world in stealth like a shadow, lockpicking doors and hacking computers. If people have something you want, you can often just pickpocket them. But if it does come to blows, you can use devious traps to stack the odds in your favour.
Underrail features an elaborate item crafting system. A vast majority of the armor, weapons and some other items encountered in the game can be crafted, and some are exclusively acquired through it. Crafted equipment tends to be superior to that which is scavenged or purchased in terms of raw numbers, provided you are investing in your crafting skills.
Sums Steam only; GOG publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Good game, left my testicles completely destroyed.
Got hooked for 200 hours when I first bought this game. This is amazing. I will come back and redo my choices and enjoy this masterpiece once (or hopefully more than once) again. I usually prefer party-based tb games but this was a nice change and opened my eyes.
Once you get past the steep learning curve - the game is excellent. seems clonky - but you get used to it as you progress. Runs well on linux

Good game ruined by tedious endgame shenanigans.
Deep Caverns suck ass.
Enjoyed it. Tho did get a bit list in the story in a bad way.
It's honestly like nothing else. I didn't do any research with the builds (not that I recommend this) and just kept trying and failing but the rewards are so great. It's a frustrating game with brilliant and hilarious dialogue and so much genuinely rich story to get into. I know I barely scratched the surface with it and I haven't played in ages but I think about it all the time.
Never imagined that walking simulation, crafting sandbox and a luxury of dying in plethora of stupid and intellectually challenged ways while overlooking the fact that I broke my F9 key for quickloading on my precious laptop keyboard (ultimate savescumming achievement. Please add it in, Styg!) would make me like this game not only by very generous said terms - but literally. If you are a big, old-school fan of CRPGs and also of Classic Fallout and Wasteland series, then chances are high that you *might* enjoy this Balkan masterpiece. Or just if you like being spanked and victimized on every turn of the game, then your sadistic-masochistic desires and thirst may be quenched by this very game. It also has immense replay potential, as long as you are ready to change and adapt to new builds. Storyline and universe is mind-boggling in its own fascinating ways. On final note: 9.1 / 10 P.S. I need to buy a new desk, I raged too much as well!
If you enjoyed Fallout 1 & 2, you will love this game as well. Overall, great worldbuilding and fun to play. The game can be hard even on normal difficulty if you want to play it blind, so don't be afraid to use the quicksave feature to the fullest

Одна из лучших РПГ что я когда либо играл. Тебе дают полную свободу действий. Что то близкое было только в первых частях фоллаута или Аркануме.
