I love this game. It abstracts away a lot of the stuff that can feel taxing in other dungeon-esque roguelites. For example, boss battles might last only a few seconds. During those few seconds, you might perform a single set of complicated maneuvers. But most of the time that set of maneuvers isn't repeated ad nauseam unless you're under-leveled. Many of the normal encounters might last for only a single second. What I feel like this game is actually doing is testing competency in understanding its systems. The encounters aren't meant to last longer than this if you've developed a working build. So going through rooms can take the same amount of time as checking off a box. And that's what I really love and find fascinating is that it has distilled itself down to a litmus of its own mechanics.
Fun game, but the lack of mid-run saving is a huge letdown. Life is busy and it's hard to play and enjoy games where I need a chunk of time dedicated just to play it. But I changed my review to recommended cause its so fun.
As a value for money proposition it's second to none. Fantastic example of that "one more run" kind of addictive gameplay. Screen clarity can definitely be an issue on later floors, and i don't ever see a good reason to take a very short range weapon over a longer range one. Top tier game though.
It is a fun game, only 1 dev working on it sadly.

It's mechanically deep in a way that generally makes sense, and because it's presented in such a simple and effective way graphically, great for 20 minute sessions after work. At least, that was my intention. I've burned 30 hours of my life in a fire in less than a week. It is delectable. Highly recommended.
Way too addictive, do not buy. thinking about the different skill trees haunted my dreams for a week
An unusual roguelite. It's both "too simple" and "too complex" at the same time. The graphics are annoying in general and it's very difficult to see what is going on in later levels, just spray and pray. The grind is samey - you can play other characters which is nice, but those run out of steam and feel similar quickly. Then weapons sometimes shift the playstyle but in limited way. Choices tend to repeat. Bosses are not interesting. 10 second boss fights means you have lost a big part of what's fun in these sort of games. Getting to the end is not an exciting goal because there's no story or anything, you just go down the floors. Too much going on with the keywords and similar effects. And yea, no Save option is very frustrating in 2026.
