Under The Waves

I....i...just...i cannot put it into the right words... I was expecting a action packed, base building adventure, on the level of Subnautica... What i got was an emotion harpoon to the heart that made me cry like the most lonely of nights when you feel lost and alone... Whatever expectations i had, this story crushed them all. 9.7/10, the only reason i marked it down a little is due to some achivements being annoying.

Apesar de tropeçar na movimentação e no preço, é uma aventura que vale a pena mergulhar de cabeça, desde que seja com um bom desconto. -------------------------- [h3][b]Análise:[/b][/h3] [b]Under The Waves[/b] te coloca na pele de um mergulhador profissional lidando com a solidão em uma base subaquática de uma empresa petrolífera, tudo envolto em uma estética retro-futurista (lembrando uma versão alternativa dos anos 70). A ambientação e os cenários do fundo do mar são, sem exagero, espetaculares. O jogo captura perfeitamente a imensidão, a beleza e o mistério do oceano. A narrativa lida com temas densos, como luto e isolamento. O protagonista mergulha no trabalho para fugir da realidade, mas, sendo bem sincero, ele se mostra bastante egoísta durante a história, principalmente nas atitudes que envolvem a sua família e sua esposa. Não vou entrar em detalhes para evitar spoilers, mas a personalidade dele definitivamente gera sentimentos mistos. Felizmente, a exploração compensa. Eu gostei bastante de fazer as missões secundárias. O jogo tem um viés ecológico bacana, e eu acabei indo muito além do exigido, limpando uma boa parte do fundo do mar simplesmente porque o processo é muito relaxante. Além de recolher lixo, a busca por colecionáveis é bem divertida. Um toque genial é que alguns desses itens são usáveis na sua base, como um violão e um saco de areia para boxe, o que dá uma vida extra ao módulo (e de quebra ainda rende conquistas). Mas nem tudo flui bem. A parte técnica tem ressalvas que testam a paciência. A movimentação do personagem é muito engessada, e chega a ser desnecessariamente lenta quando você está andando a pé dentro do módulo, sem a roupa de mergulho. Outro aviso importantíssimo de gameplay: o jogo foi projetado e avisa que deve ser jogado em um controle, mas acredite, com teclado e mouse é INFINITAMENTE melhor. Eu quase "dropei" o jogo de tanta frustração com o controle, mas quando mudei para o teclado e mouse, tudo mudou e a experiência ficou muito mais precisa e agradável. Por fim, vale o alerta sobre o custo-benefício. O jogo é bem pequeno, o que faz o preço cheio cobrado na Steam ser totalmente sem noção. -------------------------- [h3][b]Pontos Positivos:[/b][/h3] - Ambientação submarina espetacular e cenários belíssimos - Missões secundárias de limpeza do oceano são extremamente relaxantes - Colecionáveis interativos excelentes (como tocar violão e usar o saco de boxe na base) - Jogar no teclado e mouse flui maravilhosamente bem (salvou a minha gameplay) - Estética retro-futurista muito bem construída e imersiva -------------------------- [h3][b]Pontos Negativos:[/b][/h3] - Preço cheio absurdo para um jogo tão curto (exige uma promoção de no mínimo 50%) - Movimentação do personagem é dura e irritantemente lenta dentro da base - Protagonista apresenta atitudes bem egoístas com a esposa e a família - Jogar no controle (ao contrário do que os desenvolvedores sugerem) é muito ruim -------------------------- [h3][b]Conclusão:[/b][/h3] [b]Under The Waves[/b] é uma ótima experiência focada na atmosfera e na exploração. Flutuar pelo abismo azul, recolher sucata e encontrar itens para deixar sua base mais aconchegante é uma terapia excelente para o fim do dia. Ignore a recomendação oficial e vá direto para o teclado e mouse, tolere a lerdeza do protagonista ao andar fora da água e, acima de tudo, proteja sua carteira: adicione na sua lista de desejos e só aperte o botão de comprar quando vir aquele desconto de 50% ou mais. -------------------------- [h3][b]Recomendado (em promoção)![/b][/h3] --------------------------

Slow, Slow, Slow grind with cumbersome movements, dry story and the all too familiar save the planet theme. You seem to be a deep water garbage man fixing oil leaks and picking up trash. it's nothing like Subnautica, which is fun and has a water tight story line. This is just not my "cup of tea" as its target audience would probably say.

Очень странная игра которая совмещает в себе сюжетно-ориентированную игру и псевдооткрытый подводный мир. Игра поднимает семейные ценности и вообще своим сюжетом, даже не знаю как написать... Своим сюжетом она учит преодолевать трудности... Если у вас проблемы в жизни, нервы на исходе, попробуйте поиграть в эту игру и погрузиться в сюжет. Мне и задело и отпустило. Так же можно поплавать по морскому дну и поискать что-нибудь интересное. На стим дек идет прекрасно.

So good. Nice soundtrack. This one makes me miss diving.

[b]Eine unerwartet großartige Erfahrung.[/b] Die Story hat mich unerwartet stark gepackt und ist deutlich tiefgründiger und emotionaler, als ich anfangs erwartet hatte. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Atmosphäre. Die Unterwasserwelt ist wunderschön, gleichzeitig aber auch unglaublich einsam, bedrückend und stellenweise fast beklemmend. Musik und Vertonung tragen enorm zu dieser Atmosphäre bei. Das Gameplay selbst ist eher rudimentär, was für mich vollkommen in Ordnung ist, weil es hier eindeutig nicht im Mittelpunkt steht. Das U-Boot lässt sich angenehm steuern und Ressourcen sind großzügig vorhanden. Wer ein anspruchsvolles Survival- oder Crafting-Spiel erwartet, ist hier wahrscheinlich falsch. Gleichzeitig macht genau das das Spiel sehr zugänglich und man kann sich voll und ganz auf die Welt, Atmosphäre und Geschichte einlassen. Technisch lief das Spiel bei mir sehr rund und ohne nennenswerte Probleme. Nach ungefähr sieben Stunden war ich durch und bin wirklich froh, dass ich dem Spiel eine Chance gegeben habe. Wer eine tiefe, emotionale Geschichte mit einer wunderschönen und gleichzeitig melancholischen Atmosphäre erleben möchte, sollte [i]Under the Waves[/i] definitiv eine Chance geben.

Игра кайф - неспешная, без скримеров, приятная графика, музыка/звуки, атмосфера. Я бы осмелился сказать что имеются общие черты с произведениями Говарда Лавкрафта. Душная? - возможно, но для любителей почилить в океане самое то. История/сюжет трогательная, геймплей средней паршивости - собери то, сходи туда... Диалоги и монологи дополняют атмосферу в игре, мне зашли. Концовка адекватная. Нераскрытые темы? - они есть, но по-моему это нормально и придаёт игре некий такой таинственный шарм. Крафт - для галочки, можно за просто плыть пустым и выполнишь все миссии, найдя всё необходимое в процессе выполнения задания.

Under The Waves is honestly one of those games that I started without expecting too much and ended up really enjoying. You play as Stan, a professional diver working alone deep underwater in the North Sea. He is trying to deal with a very difficult moment from his past and basically uses the isolation of his job to escape from everything. I don't want to say too much because the story is definitely something you should experience yourself. The atmosphere is easily my favorite part of the game. Being completely alone underwater, exploring abandoned places and hearing the sounds of the ocean around you just feels amazing. Sometimes it's peaceful and relaxing and other times it can feel really uncomfortable, especially when you're very deep and surrounded by nothing but darkness. I also really enjoyed the diving and exploration. Using the small submarine to travel around the map, leaving it to explore different locations and searching for resources was actually very satisfying for me. The underwater world feels vast and I often found myself exploring places even when I didn't really need to. The story is slow, but personally I didn't mind it at all. This is definitely not a game for someone looking for constant action. It's more about the atmosphere, isolation and understanding what Stan is going through. Some moments genuinely made me stop and think about the story. The graphics and soundtrack are also beautiful and fit the game perfectly. There were many moments where I just looked around at the ocean because the game can honestly look amazing. Of course, there are some small bugs and the movement can feel a little weird sometimes, but nothing that ruined my experience. Overall, Under The Waves was a really beautiful and emotional experience. As someone who enjoys story games and also really likes diving, this game was basically perfect for me Definitely worth playing if you enjoy slow, atmospheric and emotional games. 9/10 from me.

A me questo gioco è piaciuto molto, sarà per la sua semplicità e funzionalità dei comandi che permettonono di muoversi molto facilmente nella vastità dell'oceno. Cosa questa che mi ha permesso di godermi appieno l'atmosfera. Audio che ben si adatta al contesto e bella anche la storia che si dipana molto piacevolmente. Storia anche molto profonda (per quanto possa esserlo un videogioco) e toccante in alcuni momenti. Esperienza che consiglio agli amanti di un certo tipo di gameplay: rilassato e con la narrazione al centro di tutto. Buone esplorazioni marine.
