Absolutely terrifying! It sucks that there aren’t more Backroom games that capture the Kane Pixel style instead all we get is just survival slop where you need to drink almond milk and run away from scp #9000. This game and the game they made a while back really capture the fear of “yeah you are stuck here forever and everything you recognize is somehow distorted and completely removed of life that leaves an eerie feeling around every corner! oh and you may or may not be ALONE…” would 100% recommend purchasing this!!!
I was looking for a Backrooms experience closest to what Kane Parsons created. This is it. Look no longer. You're here to explore and feel the walls breathe. It feels like walking through my nightmares. Theres a real sense of discovery and magic here that I havent experienced since playing the OG Bioshock. Amazing game.
I'd love to recommend this game. It is perfect as far as what you'd want to experience from a Backrooms game. Its creepy. Looks amazing. Visually probably one of the most impressive games I've seen. But..... ....until they solve the save function - where it should autosave instead of only when you leave the game on your own accord - I can't recommend it. I made it about 2 hours in just past the ladder over the chasm, and FATAL ERROR. Game crashed. Reloaded it, and it started me from the beginning. I'm really going to have to wait awhile before I'm willing to go back through all of that to see the remainder of the game. So if you do buy this game, shut it down after every elevator ride or whenever you want to save your progress, then reopen the game and continue. Totally dumb.
I played for a little over 2 hours, my game crashed and upon relaunching the game it put be back at the beginning of the game. Wasted my time. (Edit: Added Autosaving 10 days after I left this review complaining about the lack of it, therefore I am changing this review to a positive one.)
I played before they updated it, and now after, all I have to say is I have spent the past 5 hours genuinely losing my mind cause I didn't know they updated and was waiting for the end and was horrified to the point of tears. Genuinely scariest game I have played.
It was extremely good looking, but that was it. I don't recall any threats or puzzles the whole game. Just walking. It's impressive how it was pretty much exactly 2 hours of walking.
Ah sweet, man-made horrors beyond my comprehension. It took me just under 2 hours to get the first ending and I literally don't wanna play it anymore, it's great, but extremely unsettling and anxiety inducing. The visuals are maybe some of the most realistic I've ever seen in a video game, the atmosphere and sound design are also out of this world. Phenomenal game, never wanna touch it again I'm good.
Game looks and feels amazing but suffers from random crashes, i lost all the progress i made and now contemplating returning the game. SMH
The Best Backrooms Singleplayer. Since Backrooms movie from Kane Parsons released in threaters across all america territory. I had this feeling to being part of the move somehow. I search d several backrooms games on steam, stumble this particular well done either graphics, suspense the expedition is no going that well cuz an external phenomeon drag you out bunch of liminal spaces without any human interaction or communication.
