Controls are a big improvement over the clunky ones in the original Alien Hominid. But the overall aesthetic is way more sterile, bland, overly busy and less charming than the original. Player character specially looks terribly simple and twinning heavy to make way for a basic hats/heads customization system that's very shallow and isn't worth the trade of how expressive the alien used to be. Like seriously the player character might be the worst thing about the game. The animations are so stiff and unsatisfying that the fun movement feels less impactful because of it. The overly busy part of the visuals is specially detrimental because it's supposed to be a bit of a bullet hell. But so many elements on screen have the same shade of green, I suppose as an attempt to unify dangerous objects as being always green, that it all becomes very messy. Too many particles are happening at all times and telling the background from foreground requires fumbling. The initial grind is fun enough to warrant finishing the (really short) campaign. Digging around is by far the best part of the movement and leads to some cool enemy scenarios. But overall after a while the unstructured arena format with random repeating enemies and VERY repetitive objectives makes the game grating and doesn't give you much reason to come back. And quite frankly I just wish it was a game with level design. The campaign itself feels really short, rushed and unfinished which unfortunately has been a trend for 2 games now alongside Pit People. Except this game doesn't have the extensive sidequests, making it even more pointless to play any further after beating the final boss. Overall I would recommend this game but only if you have other people to play it with. Because otherwise it's a bit boring after some time and not worth the playtime probably.
very different from the first one but its very fun and pretty replayable- i had a lot of fun 100%ing this game due to the replayability, however i think they couldve made the maps more unique it started looking pretty bland after completing the first story line
Bom jogo, péssimo preço
The Behemoth Doesn't Make Sequels
If only I had friends to play this game with :( (jokes aside this game is AMAZING even in solo you should get it!)
