Solid shooter with a unique emotional story. Fantastic game feel, visuals and audio, especially the voice acting! Very fairly priced. Definitely worth playing, you have to finish it enjoy the full experience!
Thomas absolutely killed it. I haven't finished it yet but he truly managed to capture the lightning in a bottle that Bioshock has with this game. Everything feels amazing and even better than the demo. This has scratched the Bioshock itch I've had ever since playing it like nothing else. And the music is so amazing too, I love it! Can't wait to beat it and play the extra content. Also I recommend playing the hardest difficulty if you're half decent at fps games. My only gripes currently are no manual saving system and that the enemies don't really feel quite like Bioshock where you stumble upon them already existing. Granted some of the enemies do this but not the majority so far. They mostly spawn in waves after being locked in a room like a boomer shooter but I don't mind much. Thanks you for the amazing game Thomas and I'm so happy you were able to get it over the finish line!

good game
Great homage to the XBOX 360 days of weapon upgrade shooters. Entertaining. Perfect if you want a nostalgic game to change things up for a bit.
I've been anticipating this game for a while and safe to say Thomas Brush did not disappoint. This game manages to capture the feeling of one of its inspirations, Bioshock, without feeling like a knockoff. Set in a beautiful and dark theme park the atmosphere is one of the best I have experienced in a game, it is seriously impressive how well the art direction and sound design work in tandem to create such a captivating experience. The game mechanics mesh very well together, from puzzles to crisp gun mechanics to interactive storytelling items, the game always felt like it flowed very well between its different pieces and left me entertained the entire time. The stories final act doesn't fully capitalize on the buildup that the rest of the game is working towards, but it doesn't ruin the game either. With that being said I think with some changes to the final act, more polish on some of the enemy types/npcs, and some reworks to the pacing at which you gain access to certain abilities/weapons, this game would easily get a 7.5/8 from me. Highly recommend and want to thank Thomas Brush and the Twisted Tower team for creating such a beautiful work of art, this game captivates from the very beginning and shines because of the love and time you all spent working on it! This game truly is something special and it has definitely earned its place amongst the games I replay every year or two! Overall Rating: A solid 7/10, I'm a bit of a harsh critic so for context I have Bioshock Remastered sitting at a 8/10
Okay, so first off, this game is super fun. It's gameplay difficulty settings are well optimized. Story mode is easy, but just enough of a thrill to still label itself a horror game. Normal mode is the standard they wanted you to play, and its difficult enough to create a resource crunch and force you to rely on melee to preserve ammo, but not be overwhelming and tactically-minded like dark souls. The harder setting is pretty much dark souls difficulty. enemies 3 shot you, snacks dont heal much at all, loot is more scarce. Graphics are good enough in most situations to be amusing and good to look at. Is it RDR2 on 4k resolution? no. 8/10. Enemies feel good to fight, the AI is smart, and the variety is plentiful with introduction latters similar to dead island 2. new enemies get introduced on each floor. 8/10. Weapons: i believe theres 12 total weapons in the game, getting one or two per level. All feel balanced and have their special secondary abilities. 8/10. Looting: looting feels balanced. On normal difficulty you aren't spoon fed, but you are provided enough. On hardcore, its rough but thats the point and its not overwhelming. Story mode spoon feeds you just enough to not feel spoonm fed and ruin the game. 8/10. Levels: You play through floors of a restort. Each floor has its own theme, domain, and puzzles and theres not a whole lot of copy pasta besides props which is fine because they are plentiful. 8/10. Story: story is suprisingly thorough and deep. You and your fiance get sucked into some psychopath's fever dream, and you go on an arcade Bio-shock like adventure to rescue her. 8/10. Optimization: this game is highly optimized. i'm playing this on my secondary system (specs will be given), but its a 4060ti with 8gb of ram. it doesn't even struggle or dip below 50fps. it's impressive. zero bugs or glitchs through the third floor. 10/10. Overall: the gameplay is super smooth, the story is fun and the combat is exciting. The looting is enjoyable, the game has its meme-moments and can be hilarious and dark. It's a 9/10 game strictly because it does so well at everything. For the price, it's hard to find a better game especially in its genre. HIGHLY recommend even at normal price, a definite if it's on sale.
WOW just wow idek where to start but this game was amazing, the gunplay and weapons was awesome. The plot twist at the end was crazy and this game needs to be played a 2nd time overall 10 OUT 10 WOULD PLAY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a blast, sat through the dev streams way back when it was called "Father" and to see it evolve and actually playthrough it in one sitting was awesome!
The game is all around very solid! The gameplay is very fun and smooth, and the puzzles are engaging. Though the "Just Right" difficultly seems a bit too easy. The secret areas don't have much to offer for going out of your way to find them (expect for THAT one, I really liked that one!). The environments of the game can feel a bit boring and bland at times. And, the (few) cutscenes feel a bit janky as well. The music and sound design is top notch! Probably my favorite part of the game. A very solid and quick game for its price. 7.5/10.
For the price, it is absolutely worth it. I had a lot of fun playing this one. The atmosphere, world building and character design was really cool. A fun ending too! It definitely has some replayability, but even just one playthrough is a lot of fun. I think one thing that this adds to the "Bioshock-esque" gameplay is the movement. The dash and jetpack combo is really fun to play around with. Had me trickshotting with the slingshot lol 10/10 experience!
