If being a dictator is your life long dream then I suggest choosing Tropico 4. Some of the new woke Tropicos cant compete with the good old days of oppressing an entire island with the press of a button. In the newer tropicos if you try to oppress them, your people, like redditors, leave their homes (in game) and try to cancel your regime using protests. This forces you to deal with them by putting up radios and guard towers. However, my dream of becoming a dictator doesnt involve managing my popularity or interacting with other people; thats what I pay others for. Thinking is for the poor and fortunately for me I'm middle class, so any problem that comes my way I can stop by placing 4 army camps in random places and never worrying again. Unfortunately for me, this game was never enough to satisfy my desires, so when I was given the opportunity to join the ranks of historical figures like Fidel Castro, Mao Ze Dong and Idi Amin, I took my chance. But heres the thing about dictators kids, you'll never get it on your first try. The January 6th agents found me last month and I am currently writing this review in prison on a 2011 Blackberry I have hidden in my rectum along with my charger and bitcoin wallet. Despite these conditions I'm still holding out and with the new election year coming up, I see my chance. LETS GO JEB BUSH 2024!!!!

I like how in one of the music tracks the singer says "Scat loli". Honestly the soundtrack doesn't have a single bad song and I love it so much.

Can't play it in 2026. maybe it's the AMD Gpu - maybe not...but it's not working. Can't save the game, it's crashing all the time.
It's good to be the dictator. Reminds me a little of SimCity 2000/3000 before EA bought it and screwed it up. The Challenge mode (20 scenarios) is more of a long tutorial and challenging. I'm most of the way through now. Prepare to google some to find out what you are doing wrong. Some missing pieces, like you can't tell WHY exports are $0, you just have to figure it out, etc, but still a good game that is simple enough to not break your brain, but gives you enough control to make it interesting.

Kind of boring. All you need to win is to develop tourism, and tourism is way better than industry. With money, all problems can be solved. There is nothing interesting to do in the mid and late game.
