In my honest review. Game devs are doing their own thing and it shows. Game devs are city slickers and it shows. Off road is a penalty and not a viable option and they don't plan it to be. Most of the map is off road, With tornadoes being in the middle of fields more times than they cross a road before dying out. performance is garbage. Private game having to have a least 4 people is trash and more times than not you are left waiting in a lobby for over 2 minutes just to end up just you and your friends anyways. I have experience multiple occasions where I am taking 5 slots trying to host because its glitches me back out of the lobby but doesn't close it. Basically being forced in public matches and always online is trash. Money dynamic is trash. Performance upgrades not being available for vehicles is trash. But hey lets work on vegetation for our update!
I LOVE the idea of this game, but I bought this in 2024 and returned it and rebought it again less than a few months ago and nothing has changed in it. Extremely bare bones for the asking price and in two years nothing has changed.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND I have played this game for many many hours and its easily my top 1 game right now. some reasons are, if you have a good pc I consider buying this game because it runs great for me everywhere on the map, but if you have a bad or old pc I would hold off buying. Also the tornados and radar are fantastic! love them very much and there's no wedge tornadoes yet but there is very large stovepipes that are not far from wedges and the driving is great no issues with it. Some flaws are the tornados not hitting towns directly very often, they do sometimes but its very rare I've only seen it twice that is the only flaw I think needs to be talked about. Overall great game, the game is still in EA anyways so we cant judge much yet. price. 35$ some may think that it is very expensive for how the game is but I think the price is very fair and once you play and enjoy the game you will agree. Game currency, THANK YOU THANK YOU! for not making it not pay to win its so much better having to actually grind the game to get money instead of just buying it. GREAT GAME KEEP GOING DEVS!
Game economy is horrible because it's been in development for 2 years and they're excited to announce GRASS updates. I did the math and it will take you around 4-5 hours for each unlock on a vehicle and around 15 hours to get your first upgraded vehicle. The gameplay just isn't that fun to justify it. You can't drive offroad to intercept weather (unless you wanna creep along at 10mph). Game lobbies are nearly empty (even during a Summer Sale). The only positive reviews are from people with serious sunk cost fallacy or are fanatical storm chase dweebs.
Super realistic storm chasing game, I would highly recommend if you like storm chasing or even if your into weather. When you first play it's frustrating because you can't see much tornados, but the more you play you will find you don't find much tornados covered in rain, and there uncommon, once again highly recommend this game, it's more fun if you don't give up on the game, it's just waiting to see if your determined. The end. Five stars.
poo tea full, even tho it runs at 30fps with all the settings as low as can go with FSR at ultra performance it is INCREDIBLE
Most realistic tornado chasing game I have ever played. And the gameplay is very fun
Right now, I can't recommend a game that doesn't let you play a private server with only 2 people. Must have at least 4 people and at it's price tag, it's hard to convince others to purchase. I will definitely come back when 2 player servers are an option. Until then, I'll watch Insym play and get my refund.
I will say this...the game's weather engine is excellent (for the most part). It does really feel like you're in it when you hit heavy rain and your on the toes of a twister. However, there are a few things that really need to be fixed. For one, the lightning, and the light-ing. Are both horrible. The lightning streaks are literally just white lines right now. And the ambient light reflections of the lightning off of the clouds is pretty weak and very unrealistic. The cars and human models are just one level above Roblox quality right now and there's really nothing else to do, all the buildings are hollow and the world is completely dead. No other cars on the road to avoid. No stranded motorists to help or rescue. It's just you and/or whomever you're online with. So maybe in the future the world will be a little more lively. The options for the vehicles are cool, the weather map is very good as well. I don't care much personally for the multiplayer aspect of this, but it's a nice game mode to have. My recommendation is to either wait it out or go buy Storm Chasers for $12 for now. Honestly that project has been dead for years but it's still not far behind this game. They mostly accomplish the exact same thing and the weather system in Storm Chasers isn't too bad. Yes, it's early access, but game is a 6/10 right now...and right NOW...I can't recommend it, BUT, for $26 during the Steam Sale...it's only about $6 over-priced IMO. So if you do get it, just think of it as an investment in future development.
good game
