If you loved the older total wars..this really is Gonna be a let down for you, Save your money and time, Mann what happened to Creative..What happened to Sega..i have tried my best to like these newer titles..i really did give it so many chances. i even went as far as to make an Epic games acc to get Troy for free when it first released, as it weirdly would come out on Epic well before it did on steam..All i can say Is we lost another one ladies and gentlemen. This Series has fallen hard hurts to say as such..alot of us who grew up with the older total wars stopped being the Focal Audience along time ago, generations grew up around the more Simpler Historical Total Wars..Think they need to Retrace and really take a look at Shogun 2 and the titles that pre date its like..That is when this series still had Love for its Players and for the Series itself.. It genuinely was the last Great title they released in my opinion, And even then they were already stirring in the whole pay to have this and that. Everything after has fallen short of the mark. And become another pay to play the full experience, Rome 2 Criss Crosses that Mark. its cult classic status is the only thing thats held it together with the Multiplayer Battles and Modders who have kept it afloat. The dlcs, re releases, sub releases and shotty launch speak in stats where my words fall short..same deal with this. The Stats speak for themselves and i am but another statistic in that, I Regret to say i have no idea what this was meant to be. but..definetly Did not feel like total war..definetly not for me. Good Luck to you if you play it. Certainly do not buy this game at the Price they are asking without it being on special.. Been a avid fan playing total war since 2004. i brought shogun 1 and medieval 1 i played Rome total war when it dropped till the disc blew up in the Drive, i was so hyped to buy Barbarian Invasion Expansion in 05 the Alexander expansion in 06, dont say its nostalgia and that i am defending the older titles at being perfect That alexander expansion was f r e a k i s h ly awful Itself. but still better then anything in the last 10 years thats been released. Note how i called them Expansions..what i would give to go back to simple Expansion packs..not a dlc for this and for that, and every time the sun blinks. Holy wahh..So Sad.
Another abandoned project by the Total War team. It is a big step back from everything that came before it. Although it isn't the worse thing I have played, I found it quite boring. I will just go back to playing Rome 2. Just like everyone else
Oddly enough I really like this game, slower paced a bit like Rome II. Its not the super units and action of Warhammer III but its still fun for what it is. I wish they got better reviews and had kept going. Feels more old school TW than like Warhammer does.
A lot of great mechanics but the Sea Peoples thing really ruins the game. Even if you have a strong army you just play wack-a-mole with all these randomly spawned armies all over the map.
Not worth it
CA,我又来感受你给我带来的史诗感了?哎卧槽怎么是史前感
AI WILL screw you over every chance it gets. Context - Playing HItties / Normal Difficulty. There I was trying to play a new campaign (again) and yet again the AI decides to throw ALL of the invaders at mee at once. It was fine at first cause I had 4 full armies. But then suddenly the 'raiders' had Tier 4 and 5 units that wiped all 4 armies out. Bored of it. Uninstalled the game.
This game is just not fun... it is visually pleasing. It's very difficult for me to play this game when I loved Warhammer III. I wish I never bought this game when it released and saved my money.
Just... no.
Good game!
