Grocery Store Simulator

Game is abandoned, whilst its not a terrible game, its still lacking in more than a few areas. Devs have given up on this game, there's no point buying it.

I LOVED this game. I put in a ton of time, it was a great game for losing hours, relaxing, heck, I'd even call it a cozy grocery sim. The product is cute, the music is great and I think I'll use my credit card! However! This game is so dead, the devs are unresponsive, if we ever did get an update, it was lackluster and met with aggression from the devs when we all didn't love every tiny thing about it (I'm lookin' at you, instruments update!) For the first time since buying it over a year ago, I have finally uninstalled this game and given up on it. I tried other grocery sims and they just didn't scratch the itch that GSS did. Until I finally found one, so now I can finally say goodbye to Grocery Store Simulator.

Abandoned game. Every update has procedurally made the game worse. The community asked for more employees as it's impossible to manage a large store alone with the amount available without closing for weeks at a time, we got musical instruments, a pointless addition. The community asked for better lighting and textures, they then took away windows and now every store looks more like a low budget horror game. Rushed out of early access, unfinished and abandoned. AVOID

Game dev have slapped on a 1.0 label and abandoned the game without finishing it. Instead the devs have booted up a new project. Any attempt to contact the dev is being met with silence. If you try through steam forums on their forum for their new project, the message will just get deleted. Attempting to contact them through their discord server will result in a ban from there. Too bad when it all came off to a great start, but ends in censorship and bans. :(

Game has been abandoned after a very poor update that made the game look so much worse than before. Its like I am playing in 640x480 despite having a 4k monitor. The game was great, really good fun, it just needed some tweaks to make it great, the devs decided to abandon the game and hoped that releasing a "final patch" taking the game out of early access and saying it was done would mean their fan base were please. What they actually did was make the graphics look awful, everything looks dirty and low res. They added snapping, Something people had asked for and moved the warehouse entrance to the place that it is in all shops the world over, at the front next to the front door. This meant the warehouse layouts we had all worked on were now redundant and the alley that wrapped around the store had no real purpose. What the devs did left a sour taste in my mouth, they essentially took a massive dump on their game, told the fanbase this is what they wanted and claimed the game was complete so they could move on with and claim they finished one game before moving on to the next. Do not trust the devs, do not buy this game or their new game Vape Shop Simulator.

Grocery Store Simulator: like watching paint dry, but with more price tags and less excitement. The game itself is really fun and I enjoyed progressing through it. Playing together with my wife made it even better. Early game feels great, but once you hit late game it becomes almost impossible to keep up, even with employees maxed out and both of us playing. What really kills it for me though is how slow the updates are. The last one was back in April and since then it feels like the developer has abandoned both the game and the Discord. That’s a shame, because the game has a lot of potential. I can't recommend it as of right now, might change in the future depending on how the game develops.
