Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 14 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty good novel.
Несмотря на косяки локализации, мне зашло. Прошел на одном дыхании.
I am on the fence about recommending this game. Pros: It is an incredibly interesting, atmospheric world. Most of the writing (see exception below) is interesting, evocative, and worth the time to just sit there and read. It's worth it to approach this game like an interactive novel. In the first half of the game, I was in love with the writing, the mysterious antagonist, the philosophical undercurrents, and enjoyed RPing my main character. I loved that failing checks sometimes had more interesting outcomes than succeeding did. Extremely immersive game overall. Cons: I never finished the game because I was so disappointed with where the main plot went. I thought the main antagonist was one of the best I've ever seen in a game...until you learn the truth about them and their motivations. Then the whole story felt very underwhelming. I also dislike when hugely important people/plot points are introduced at the very end of a game/story, and when a twist ending wasn't at all foreshadowed or predictable. It's like, congratulations: you surprised me with info no one could have never pieced together or guessed (except randomly). And now, at the climax of the story, I'm supposed to have feelings and opinions about people and relationships you introduced 5 seconds ago? Overall I still recommend this game (maybe not at full price), and don't worry if you don't finish it. The stories you imagine in your head might end up being better than where they chose to take it.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I avoiding comparing this to P:T and enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought the setting and characters were interesting and the story was well written. I cared for some of the characters by the end. The merecasters were an interesting mechanic, something I haven't seen done before. I played a nano and could read others thoughts, a cool skill. I found the way you used your attributes interesting, it wasn't just a yes/no dialogue option where you automatically succeed if you have the larger number. It was a bit wordy at times, but you can skim over some of the fluff. I did also feel some of the environments were littered with items to interact with just for the sake of it, not because they necessarily fit into the world. That could just be the intended design, but some things felt out of place to me. Overall, it was worth a playthrough as a fan of P:T and CRPGs.
Bought this for playstation and I liked it despite the ridiculous load times, I would've also liked to customize my character. That being said I bought it again here while it was on sale and it was a huge improvement with regards to loading time and I was able to enjoy the game way more. I love the dark aesthetic and the writing is good tho I do wish it were fully voiced over. Overall pretty good game to buy on sale for sure. I also love the Numenera books so there's that as well.
This is one of my all time favorite CRPGs. This is my third time playing through with a completely different build each time. For one thing, it's very, very dialogue-heavy. The alignment system isn't just good/evil, or chaotic/lawful, but five separate distinct playstyles, (gold, silver, red, blue, and purple.) The combat opportunities are styled as "crises" that can be overcome with both force or a combination of skill checks and dialogue. If you want, you can finish the entire game without throwing a punch or casting a spell. Which isn't to say that the combat sucks if you choose that option. It's just as viable and just as fun. The game likes to throw out parcels of XP just for navigating particularly interesting dialogue, so you won't be underleveled if you choose the nonviolent path. The game's setting is another one of its strongest strengths. It's set in a future so distant that the world is littered with mysterious technology down to the individual grains of sand on a beach. You can find wonky tech doodads everywhere to the point that it has become commonplace. The unit of currency is literally tiny machines that happen to be useful or pretty, not something minted by a government. This game is supposed to be the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment, and I think it delivers on those promises.
Is Tides of Numenera Worth It: Yes
I hate it when you have to read the whole review. That being said, here's the rest of the review. Setting and Story Numenera lives and dies by it's setting and the atmosphere that it builds, and thankfully Torment does this well. The world encourages exploration and builds the setting by you the player interacting with it. Nothing makes sense but it shouldn't, the sense of discovery, confusion, and occasional apprehension towards the unknown are the cornerstones that give Numenera it's flavour. The characters feel real enough that they are engaging and the problems they face, while fantastical, are still grounded within the context of the world that is built around you. The story itself is strong enough to stand, but the pacing felt strange at times. Side plots often link some way to your "main quest" and thus it never feels like the story is rambling while you recuse a dog (or something equally pointless). Combat and Mechanics For those unaware, Numenera is a table top rpg made by Monte Cook games built on the Cypher system. This system grants the players Cyphers: one use item that grant a wide range of affects from healing, to damage, to helpful solutions to otherwise impossible problems. The game fairly faithfully brings this mechanic into the game, however I believe it does so at the game's cost. Every area a handful (or more) of Cyphers can be found, and players can only carry so many before suffering negative affects so their use is encourage. However, for turn based rpg veterans, the combat already feels less challenging than it could be. This being said, the game rewards the clever player that can avoid combat using the variety of other talents characters possess. The effort system makes the dialogue and exploration text more engaging and overall offers the most complete "play it your way" alternative I've seen in a while. Perhaps not a fair trade-off for combat focused folks but in all honesty if "combat focused" describes you then Torment might not be for you. tl;dr A great game that rewards exploration and clever (non-violent) solutions to problems. The fascinating world is built around you and the story is good albeit oddly paced at times. The game will suck you in if you let it and is best played in one continuous chunk of time (taking a month long break may break your immersion to the point where it is hard to hop back in).
