Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 14 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

wanted to like the game but the combat is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (turn based zzz)

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Torment: Tides of Numenera (TTN) is a worthy successor to Planescape: Torment (PST). TTN features a philosophically engaging plot and memorable characters. I wasn't surprised to find out that some of the companions were written by Chris Avellone and Patrick Rothfuss. At the same time, the story is deeply reactive. This game is relatively short and self-contained, but there is still a detailed epilogue showing the consequences of your choices. The companions, especially, have branching character development that depends on your influence. Much of the writing is focused on suffering ("torment") and its relationship to self-knowledge and self-definition. All the characters, including your own, are suffering from some deep personal problems. They are shaped by how they deal with that suffering. My favorite companions were Matkina, Rhin, Erritis, and Oom. TTN is also notably dark without being immature and edgy. The world is fractured, post-apocalyptic, and filled with unimaginable horrors--yet the setting doesn't lend itself to excessive cynicism. The Bloom, one of the most fascinating locations of the game, feels like something out of an H.P. Lovecraft story without the sheer hopelessness. And the Bloom is just one of many settings that the game takes you through--all of which point to an even larger and truly incomprehensible world. The writing quality, dark and variable setting, and focus on suffering and self-knowledge are all reminiscent of PST. Unfortunately, TTN also shares some of PST's flaws. The text, despite being descriptive and beautifully written, can drag on sometimes, and combat can be a slog to say the least. Fortunately, you can avoid combat altogether in most cases. Still, one may rightfully ask whether this game can be reduced to a walking (and talking) simulator--and I would say that the answer is no. Stats and skill specializations matter, and I quite enjoyed the Effort system, which made skill checks more engaging than simple dice rolls or stat thresholds. In all, I deeply enjoyed TTN--particularly as someone who played PST. I believe more people should play this game, especially if they've ever been interested in PST or the overall genre of dialogue-heavy, party-based RPGs.
Underrated for sure, more people need to try this game. If only so they make another 20 years from now.
Unfinished game just like mgsv. 3 locations and horny companions.
fantastic crpg with unique alien-like setting, dont let the negative rewievs cloud your judgement about it
The game was released almost a decade ago, yet ist still sprawling with game-breaking bugs. Truly a spiritual successor to Planscape: Torment.
Torment: Tides of Numenera
