This isn't a Runic Games Torchlight. This is a weak attempt to emulate Runic Games Torchlight. Felt too generic, soulless, and very much made-for-children. When the release didn't go amazingly well, it's like any semblance of passion anyone may have had for development of this game completely evaporated.
VERY MUCH A NEUTRAL on this game, but I'll lean towards thumbs up at an 8 dollar sale. This game did things I liked. Graphics are pretty, bases are neat, pets are improved, the custom middle tree is an interesting choice, but at the end of the day the game play loop just doesn't hook you like the first two games. Even despite not being made by Runic Games this still had potential but too many wrenches got tossed into the gears and killed it.

Got it during a sale but it still wasn't worth it: Feels like a Torchlight II except not fun.
Its okay, but not worth the full price. Im pretty happy I got it for 5 bucks. Being only online and not having the ability to pause is super strange, especially while playing in single player mode. The gameplay is ok and classes feel decent, however there is barely any endgame loop. Overall a modernized TL2, but with less depth and gameplay.
