Tomb Raider II (1997)

Tomb Raider II bateu forte na nostalgia!!! Claro que joguei mesmo foi a versão do PS1. Falando dessa versão aqui do STEAM de PC logo de cara instalei um AutomatedFix, modificou algumas coisas mas manteve a essência original do jogo. GRAPHICS São bem melhores que do primeiro e deram uma caprichada na Lara. Os mapas em geral ficaram muito bem feitos, Venice ficou maravilha. Templos, paredes, pontes, objetos, etc foram melhorados. Efeitos e adições gerais foram ajustadas. Não temos aquele ângulo tão íngreme falando em gráficos. SOUND Tem uma qualidade excelente, uma atmosfera muito boa quando solta as músicas. Gostei particularmente de Venice. PLAYABILITY Lara navega no barquinho agora e pilota o snowmobile. Vontade é de ficar horas nessas fases pra lá e pra cá... o snowmobile então, muito satisfatório. E claro pular, agarrar, nadar, escalar, correr, atirar, rolar... investigar, morrer, reload, morrer de novo e vamos lá!!! FUNFACTOR Muito engraçado os brutamonte vindo pra cima da Lara ou ela gemendo arrastando as pedras e se agarrando nas beiradas... e correr atrás dos secrets é um deleite pra mim. This game is simply awesome. If you played the first game, you will have a lot of fun playing this. New mechanics, new weapons and a thrilling story.

Ist mein lieblingsspiel unter den alten Teilen der Reihe und spiele diese seit meiner Kindheit. Habe TR2 auf dem PC durch gespielt und kann nur jedem, egal ob Neuling oder Fan der ersten Stunde, empfehlen es zu spielen. Frau Croft zieht einfach jeder(mann) Gamer, in den Bann. Steuerung ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig., man findet sich aber zurecht. Atmosphäre und Sound sind pure Nostalgie. Kann jedem nur das live Orchester, Tomb Raider Suite empfehlen, das man sich auf YouTube ansehen kann.

If you were to ask any longtime Tomb Raider fan what they would consider to be the best game in the series, there's an extremely high chance Tomb Raider 2 will be mentioned and for good reason. Despite being developed in a rush [strike] because Eidos and Sony wanted profits [/strike], TR2 improves on the original in pretty much every way while offering a lot more variety with the levels and environments. While TR1 was (mostly) focused around Egypt, TR2 lets you explore China, Italy, the Adriatic Sea (including an underwater wreck) and Tibet. As you might have guessed, TR2 focuses on Chinese mythology. The Dagger of Xian is a mythical weapon that, when plunged into one's heart, turns that person into a fire-breathing dragon. Lara Croft will have to fight against Marco Bartoli, an Italian mafia boss (that's how it works), that wants this Dagger for power. If you're familiar with Core Design's Tomb Raider, you already know how TR2 plays. Although this game leans a lot more into the action sequences compared to TR1, it still keeps the same exploration and pixel perfect jumps. The hidden secrets are still here, a classic Tomb Raider mechanic, and they will give you resources if you manage to find all 3 of them for each level. A new addition with this game are the vehicle sections, especially in Tibet where you'll be using the snowmobile to travel through the mountains and make risky jumps. Overall, Tomb Raider 2 excels because it's a massive improvement over the original and it offers a lot more variety, you get to explore all kinds of environments and weather. This is further improved by Nathan McCree's artistical genius with really good music and ambience, and Peter Connelly will follow his steps with The Last Revelation up until Angel of Darkness. Tomb Raider 2 is easily the best in the series by a long shot, it has the least amount of flaws compared to every other game in the OG series, even though I don't really blame Core Design for that. A must play if you want to get into TR.
