Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Overall peak of the series.
Let me preface by saying that I do absolutely adore this game and have loads of nostalgia for this game, but I cannot in good faith recommend this game how it is being currently sold. The game itself is a fun mid 2000's platformer that continues on where Tomb Raider: Legend left off, reworking the original story into this iteration of Lara's background. The game itself takes an interesting twist on the original work, with artistic liberties being taken in story and in landscape. Some of which work out well, like the lost valley area in particular is done pretty well, and some of which don't, with areas like the colosseum being a bit of a slouch to get through with tedious back and forth. The areas themselves usually present themselves in a more grand manner than the original, given the hardware limitations of yesteryear. Many areas in Greece particularly have a pompous and elegant entrance, giving nice ambiance. The corridors are heavy in this game, with a lot of halls with traps just for the hell of it that were not in the original. Most of this was done to show off the new moves that Lara has learned since 1996, but most of these areas come off as repetitive, especially since Legend utilized corridors as well. Graphics for the time are pretty sharp. Though there is no next gen option like in the previous game, I think that is a blessing since it is so unstable in the previous title. The reason I cannot recommend this game is due to the state of unplayability it is in currently being sold on steam. From crashing upon start up, the game not recognizing controllers, and the game not recognizing saves, it really has any and all issues you could possibly think of with this version of the game. It really is a shame, I have fond memories of playing this game as a teenager and being one of the games that really got me into Tomb Raider and gaming in general. It is nearly impossible to figure out what this game wants. I have figured out the issue with crashes (mostly) and the game not recognizing the controller, but not being able to save and not finding a simple solution like the previous two issues is infuriating, especially with the game being sold in this current state. It is not feasible for a player buying this game for the first time to have to jump through fire to be able to solve all the issues that this game has in its current state. I would highly recommend buying this game for your PS2, Xbox360, PS3, whatever else, or emulating it over buying it here because of all the aforementioned issues. The rating I am leaving below is for how I feel about the game itself, not for the issues it has on this platform. I still highly not recommend buying it here and using the other methods above. Story - 7/10 Graphics -7..5/10 Gameplay - 8.9/10 Sound - 8/10 Overall - 7.9/10+
Its a great game but probably one of my least favs from the series. as much as i do still love this game its alot of lara not grabbing onto ledges, jumping into holes instead of jumping onto pillars, falling on literally nothing or jumping to her death just cause she wants to and no clear pathing or where to go on most parts. The puzzles are very long and can be very confusing, so you will defo have to search up tutorials for it. Still would recommend tbh cause tomb raider is just peak overall, but instead id say play Legend cause that game is 10x better. its truly peak
Where it all started. The year was 1995. And while I can't confirm having a normal childhood, I owned a Playstation at one point either through secondhand/record shops and the like. It came with a Demo disc, and the demo had the first level of a little known pixelated game called Tomb Raider. Details were scarce, all that we knew that the tomb raider was a real tough cookie who was seeking to join the great archaeologists such as Dr. Indiana Jones, Dr. Alan Grant, and Gina Diggers. Eventually more details came out as the game was hyped. Lara was going to be an orphan, but with lots of money at her disposal. And she wasn't needing just her looks to get by, her games required problem-solving, grit, and ruthlessness. And there were times for that. But Lara was not a cold calculating operator, not completely. She had empathy, showing the appropriate grief of the loss of friends from their deaths. We were teenagers, we didn't think about that, we thought about bad triangular polygons made to look like female anatomy. Still, EIDOS was here to tell us a story about adventure in a way no one ever could. The IP expanded, with sequels, several comic books including a crossover with Witchblade, and movies, which, I have never seen. It sparked controversy and beyond, urban legends of a secret code that would let you see a more mature-rated version of her outfit, which never came to pass. Which even so much as inspired an amusing "joke" published by a video game industry magazine featuring a completely seperate fiery redhead parallel character drawn by manga artist Adam Warren. It was the 90s. It was a "Wylde" time. Lara didn't just succeed, she endured. beyond the Trilogy, more versions released, remakes, but no less important. Lara wasn't just satisfied with joining the greats like Indiana Jones. She was going to fight for her spot as one of the toughest female leads in gaming history. And games are still releasing. While these days, Lara's looking much different, being slightly different, she's being adapted to a new audience. And while the two versions are different, I find neither of them in the shadow of the other. This version, while not being the most recent remake planned, is still rather good. It plays exactly as it used to, tank controls toned down, and adapted to modern control schemes. Graphics cleaned up and redefined. polygons rounded so Lara looks like an actual 3D model, instead of a "Child of Valheim." Traps are much more well-defined too, making dodging darts much easier. Combat is enhanced, so reacting quickly will reward you with cool bullet-time sequences as you dodge animal bites as you dispatch your enemies with your .45 ACP Pistols. I can't stress enough how much dumping the PS1 graphics really changes the game for the better. But like LeVar Burton has said, "You don't have to take my word for it."
