About
Countless souls wander the ring road at night.
The title of “fastest” never fades, no matter how times change.
The stage of battle is a sealed future Tokyo.
Race through the night highways weaving through the city in your customized machine.
Defeat the countless rivals and aim to become the fastest on the Shuto Expressway.
A unique system that sets itself apart from other racing games.
In battles where drivers clash by reducing “Spirit Points,” a numerical measure of mental strength, speed alone is not enough to secure victory.
Strategy is required to wear down your opponent’s Spirit Points — an experience where only the rules for winning matter.
Over 30 officially licensed manufacturers are featured, including real-world vehicles and aero parts.
Enjoy the thrill of speed on faithfully recreated courses of the Shuto Expressway.

Enhance performance through tuning and refine driving feel with detailed settings to create your ultimate machine.
A wide range of customization options — including vinyl graphics, stickers, and body colors — let you personalize your ride.

A world where over 450 rivals clash in pursuit of supremacy.
Even those battling for the top reveal their true selves during moments of respite at parking areas.
Souls driven by the desire to be “the fastest” are drawn together, sometimes colliding as they create their own rhythm.
Witness the birth of a new “legend” with your own eyes.

A skill-tree system that allows you to unlock various functions using BP earned from winning battles.
Permanently enhance driver abilities, increase rewards, and improve convenience.

i love this game but genki lads you gotta make that 40% off price the default price, the quality of this thing is too all over the place to warrant a near £60 asking price. that aside though, if you're reading this out of interest of learning more about the game... you need to know what youre getting yourself into here before you jump in. can you handle your jank? your crust? those oh so irritating edges to games that set off your eczema so ferociously? if so, you are in for a very comfortable yet bumpy ride my friend. plenty of cars to unlock and buy, loads of perks and upgrades to make, a baffling inclusion of car tuning despite all of the cars feeling pretty much identical to drive (that being a block of ice with varying degrees of friction), and a heaping handful of customization options too. heres the skinny: you're a brand new up and coming street racer on the tokyo highway. your task is to roll up to other racers on the highway, flash your headlights at em to engage them in a race, and zoom past them as quick and cleanly as you can to defeat them. the first couple hours are nice and smooth, perhaps deceptively so; you may think it is even a touch boring. but stick with it, as once the difficulty kicks up and the map unveils itself, you begin the everlong cat and mouse game of beating opponents to upgrade your car to beat the rest of the opponents. there are issues with the racing, yes. sometimes you will just lose because you took a corner slightly badly, or you...tapped the brakes, which somehow enables your opponent to rocket ahead of you. no worry, just try again, maybe you'll get it next time. the issue mostly comes in with it being increasingly difficult to tell if its possible to actually beat an opponent with your current set up or not or if its just that you're getting bad rng on the racing ai or that the ai for the opponent in particular is ridiculously fast because it's silently expecting you to have a specific upgrade in order to even get remotely close to them, much less beat them. but it's also just...part of the gameplay loop. you get used to the cycle of things, and as annoying as it can be, the way the battles just seamlessly end back into driving through the open world again means you can just go away and do something else instead. its just not for everyone. if you're coming into this expecting a high quality underrated masterpiece, you're not gonna find it here. this game is great, dont get me wrong, but it is for all intents and purposes a ps2 game that happened to launch on pc. and that rules.
my cars have no sound, apparently this bug existed for years and they dont care about fixing
крутая игрушка, чисто на чили на раслабоне
Very nostalgic to the days on my PS2. Enough said.
It would be okay game on mobile for $5. I couldn't believe how bad this game is. It has so many good reviews and it's just terrible. There's nothings to do. It's not a racing game. There are no races. You grind a thousand 30 second drug races throught the city. You'll be lucky if there's gonna be two corners. Presentation is meh. I think there is 3 music tracks for a while game.
Legendary devs Was on a 13 race win streak, about to be 14, with my Sprint Tureno, and Linux crashed. D= But, due to the legendary devs who made this game, booting up the game, all my wins are their. Nice job. Buy this game, it has worked great on Linux, and even if it doesn't, your streaks are safe. :)
I love everything about Tokyo Xtreme Racer. The location, cars, opponents, tuning, custom liveries and bodywork; it's all enjoyable. This game pairs really well with eurobeat type music, or even Jpop.
