Like all RuneScape games, community is at the heart of everything we do.
We've shaped our entire roadmap based on player feedback, leading us to launch dedicated servers earlier than planned, introduce new combat and new quest content. Working together we're continuing to develop RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Whether you're adventuring with friends or going it alone, every opinion matters, and it's up to you to help us shape the future of our game.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds started Alpha testing in late 2024, and is launching into Early Access in Spring 2025. From here, our humble team of heroes is developing the project with player feedback at the very core.
This Steam Early Access game is currently not a finished game and may or may not change significantly over the course of development. To learn more about Steam Early Access, please visit the Steam Early Access FAQs.

Enjoyed the game so far but now there's a plugin for data collection that is required and you cannot opt out of it. I cannot recommend the game due to this. With the data they want to collect it is too much and too risky with potential data breaches.
Its alright and even fun in parts but I have one major complaint. There are many jumping puzzles where missing a single jump kills you instantly, sending you back to your base that could be a 30 minute walk from where you died. In a game that offers such limited fast travel options, I think this is totally unacceptable. They should re-design all the jumping puzzles so that one missed jump does not result in instant death, or when you fail a jumping puzzle they should respawn you at the start of the puzzle and not at your base.
Nice game overall, but I'm really disappointed with the female character design. I'd simply like the option to create a more feminine-looking character.
As a woman, I want a FEMININE character. I don't want to look like a boy. I want a body more representative of women and especially hair styles.
I've played OSRS and RS3 for a combined 20 years, well over 15,000 hours. So far, I’ve put in 50+ hours into RuneScape: Dragonwilds, playing from very early access through later updates, and I genuinely recommend it. It nails the RuneScape atmosphere with familiar lore and visuals that feel both nostalgic and comforting but also brings something new. The building system is a standout.. far more advanced than most survival games, bridging the usual gap between too limited and too complicated to use. Decorating is also surprisingly very good which a lot of survival games lack. I personally spent over 12 hours just building and decorating a library in my base. Combat isn’t perfect yet, but I’ve noticed steady improvements throughout early access, and it’s heading in a good direction.
I am a longtime player of World of Warcraft and OSRS and this game is like a whole new game for me. It is fun and keeps me engaged. I got real sick and tired of the doing the same thing over and over with World of Warcraft and with OSRS I got tired of the grinding for hours being AFK watching a video or playing another game. I wanted something that was new, and that I didn't feel I needed to do something else to occupy my time while playing the game. I also really like that all the aspects are a lot like Runescape which is almost like a trip through memory lane, but it's a whole new perspective. Learning the controls and the way the game works was difficult at first, but I am still slowly learning and it's an absolute blast!
Plays a lot like Valheim, which I love, but with Runescape lore and skills. Great game.
Worst interface for hosting a dedicated server of all games I've done this with. Spent hours trying to figure it out and never once saw my server on the list to choose from. Selecting the dedicated > dedicated server has 2 options that take you to websites that are not helpful. One is for a hosing service and the other is the steam page for the game that is already installed. All troubleshooting they provided failed to resolve the issue. Tried direct connect and it just returns you to the login screen. 3 / 10 do not recommend.
Super chill game great design and looking forward for the updates to come. BUT can we please make right click close menu's instead of ESC ?? Give us the option to keybind the "close menu" button :D
This game is Jagex's version of Valheim. It's peak, and even though it's early access it is very stable, keeping at 90+ fps and 0 crashes. If you're a Linux gamer, expect this game to work perfectly out the box. With the constant updates, new content rolling in, and upcoming cross-platform multiplayer I'd HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone checking it out.
