Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best AU #63, worst JP #84 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 26 → 7/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ridiculously boring, almost every race you just get left in the dust by every vehicle, even taxis and trucks. If you can't pit the other car right away you just lose.

"yall got any good gameplay?" "we got aura" jokes aside this has been the most repetitive racing game ive ever played, the premise while unique initially wore off around midgame and it just becomes mind numbing. you go in a straight line and occasionally turn right or left, the perks did spice things up but ultimately doesnt make the gameplay loop any less boring. definitely not worth the price even discounted
So to start out the story took me about 18 hours to complete and it took me 113 in game days. I still have all the wanders to defeat and plan on beating the game in NG+, so not truly have beaten the game yet. But I wanted to say that I was 50/50 on buying this game originally as a lot of online forums people are explaining this game as “not for everyone” and that the AI can be ridiculous at times. And I found both those statements not very true the more I played this game. YES the game is highways only but I didn’t not find myself bored at all when it came to the racing aspect. I feel like most of the more important races (wanders, team leaders, bosses) were super fun and challenging when you get into the later stages of the game. I want to say only one race in stage 4 (near eog) I had to run multiple times and all the other races I finished first try. I also want to say that this is one of the first games I’ve played where I actually created my own livery for every car as there’s no online library where you can share livery’s. But the process to create your livery is super fun and st8 forward. I do wish in the future you can save your livery’s, as of right now if you want to put a different livery on a car you have to purchase a new car or delete the whole thing. Tuning any of your vehicles are very simple and straightforward as well. I ran a similar tune for all my vehicles and had some minor adjustments for awd cars. I also learned after beating the game that there are “meta cars”. I think all of that is bs until you get near the end of the game. I never looked up one thing concerning which car to pick to defeat bosses. I simply chose the vehicles I thought were the coolest and most fun to drive. Overall I give this game an 9/10 very fun game. Has the classic feeling of an old racing game, the physics of the cars were really fun to learn. I highly recommend this game to any car enthusiasts.
I want to highlight that this is my first time playing a Tokyo Xtreme Racer game. I knew nothing about the series and how the games really are, although I did heard about it back in the days. The store page made me interested to add it to my wishlist and recently I bought this game and give it a spin. My first impressions were mixed with this game and after a few hours I wasn't sure why many people enjoy it. Because honestly the game is pretty repetitive, as you get your car, go to the expressway, find people and teams who you need to beat in order to advance in the vague story mode. Do a head to head race until you break your opponent's spirit (yes, you do that) and repeat. Of course you get new cars, upgrades and visual tuning along the way but that's the whole game. The world map is the express way only which is not as interesting to drive at for hours, and after stage 2 it never going to change at all. Additionally the AI can be pretty broken and most of the time you can expect how they going to react. Engine sounds could have been bit more varied and for some reason the main volume bar only changes the UI and engine sound volume level, but not for the in game soundtrack. I honestly found the game boring and basic in a sense. However I wanted to know the reason why many people like this game even with all of this, and I believe this game can be enjoyed if you can immerse yourself. Because in Tokyo Xtreme Racer you are an unknown guy who want some action on the Shuto Expressway, which is the home of a underground racing scene. Many tries their luck, some drivers going solo or joining to different teams in order to make a name for themselves or to just drive because of their own enjoyment, or because of their history with this place. Your reason to be here is to be the fastest at the expressway and challenge anyone along the way. You go around and learn more about the legends and history of this scene, talk with other racers and get familiar with the place and people. Learning about the drivers from others' conversations or rumors. The game considers the drivers not just names, but characters with their own motivation and style which you will learn along the way. You drive around the expressway looking for a challenge and enjoying the night. You also start to get more attached to the car you driving, upgrade them and learn the ways of the expressway with the car you have, which can be varied and challenging with different cars. As you get more involved with the racing scene, tension is getting higher and more known racers and teams of the expressway shows up with different style and reasons to be around, unrevealing more details about the history of this place up until you reach the legends who considered to be myths and race against them at some point and at this point you will get a slice of this culture and also connects certain lines from previous games in the series. Tokyo Xtreme Racer offers this immersion to the player which have it's limitations and gameplay wise not as varied, but I believe the devs made this intentionally like this because of the whole premise. If you can take this immersion to yourself and you can accept the game how it is, then you will also realize why many people enjoy this game and hopefully you will be one of them. This game is true to this formula which was more or less the same for the whole series as far as I know, and for that handful of people it's a great fun, which I was able to see it too. If you know the series beforehand, I think you will likely to enjoy this one and you know what you will get into. For those who are interested in the game, I really suggest to learn more about the game's premise and gameplay, watch videos about it because if you go in blindly you might get a game which is not your cup of tea. Based on this I can recommend the game, but this is definitely not for everyone, and that's fine.
Classic PS2 inspired caRPG formula with upgraded graphics, gameplay, and a great soundtrack to go along with it. If you grew up a fan of arcade racers, TXR checks off every box. It is Steamdeck friendly as well, I get good frames and usually 2 hrs battery. Overall just a chill game to grind through and immerse in visually. I got it cheaper early, I know $50 is steep for some folks but think of all the money you save without the battle pass nonsense and 6 different ingame currencies shoved in your face. Games great, give it a shot.
i really wish i liked this game it looks cool but is kinda boring not much to do beside go in a straight line with a 60 dollar asking price and mid graphics... the sound of braking is nails on chalkboard.. idk how this isn't mentioned more it's horrible. the camera is also super tight on the car making the steering feel cheap

это очень хорошо.. особенно после фэмили-френдли форзы
