Rather short but very good. Some of the VA is kinda messed up sounding, but not too big of a deal. Good writing. Worth it for the price

Shivah is a seemingly simple game that conceals much more depth than meets the eye. The gameplay is minimalist and accessible, but the real magic comes from the story. The narrative unfolds with genuine intrigue, and you find yourself wanting to discover what happens next. It's a game you play not for the mechanics, but for the story itself and its characters.

Ох, я запустил эту игру перед Рош ха-Шана, 29 элула 5786 года... Повествование ведётся через игру за раввина Рассела Стоуна. Начало игры: почти пустая синагога, и дела обстоят скверно. На Стоуна снисходит приличная сумма денег от бывшего, а ныне погибшего прихожанина бейт-кнессета, с которым у главного героя остались не самые тёплые отношения. О новости внезапного обогащения не только материальным достатком, но и репутационным риском сообщают правоохранительные органы, и раву Расселу предстоит разобраться в мотиве преступления, источнике денег и установить личность убийцы... Вероятно, сильная сторона этой игры - не головоломки, а тон, точнее атмосфера, которая создаётся за счёт музыкального сопровождения, пустых улиц Манхэттена, и внутреннего монолога человека, который уже не уверен, что Творец его слышит. Пожалуй, вам действительно лучше один раз пройти, нежели читать десятки отзывов, потратив на это столько же время, чем на предполагаемое прохождение - игра на один вечер. Oh, I started this game right before Rosh Hashanah, on the 29th of Elul 5786. You play as Rabbi Russell Stone. It opens on an almost empty synagogue, and things are in pretty bad shape. A decent sum of money lands on Stone from a former congregant of the beit knesset - now dead - someone he didn't exactly have the warmest relationship with. The police show up with the news of this sudden windfall: not just the money, but a reputational risk too. Rabbi Russell has to figure out the motive, where the money came from, and who the killer is... The strong part of this game probably isn't the puzzles. It's the tone - or rather the atmosphere. The music, the empty Manhattan streets, and the inner monologue of a man who isn't sure anymore that the Creator is listening. Honestly, you're better off playing it once than reading dozens of reviews and burning the same amount of time you'd spend on the actual playthrough. It's a one-evening game. אוי, התחלתי את המשחק הזה ממש לפני ראש השנה, בכ"ט באלול תשפ"ו. משחקים בתור הרב ראסל סטון. הפתיחה: בית כנסת כמעט ריק, והמצב די גרוע. על סטון נופל סכום כסף לא מבוטל ממתפלל לשעבר של בית הכנסת - שכעת מת - שאיתו ליחסים של הגיבור לא היו בדיוק החמים ביותר. המשטרה מגיעה עם הידיעה על ההתעשרות הפתאומית: לא רק הכסף, אלא גם סיכון תדמיתי. להרב ראסל נותר לברר את המניע, מאיפה הכסף הגיע, ומי הרוצח... הצד החזק של המשחק הזה כנראה לא החידות. זה הטון - או ליתר דיוק האווירה. המוזיקה, הרחובות הריקים של מנהטן, והמונולוג הפנימי של אדם שכבר לא בטוח שהבורא שומע אותו. בכנות, עדיף לכם לשחק פעם אחת מאשר לקרוא עשרות ביקורות ולבזבז על זה אותו זמן שהייתם משקיעים במשחק עצמו. זה משחק לערב אחד.
