About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Reviews
what a massive upgrade from the first one, its more fun, and the story is so much better. imo their story is better and more engaging than most games of the same category. + game play.
I haven't finished this game and my motivation to do so was sapped by a level cap. I hate level caps. They take away any reason to do anything extra once you hit them. They are bad game design, especially in a game like this that is stingy with skills and perks. This would be a great game if it weren't for that one fatal flaw. Not perfect, not above criticism, but really good. But I still have quite a bit of game to go and I can't progress past level 30. It's really a shame.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I like the mix of goofiness and epic storytelling. It’s a relaxing experience with solid RPG elements, especially the fact that so many skills can be used in dialogue. It really makes me feel like my character’s stats actually represent something. While the gameplay isn't out of the ordinary, the balance of combat, exploration and dialogue just works. I ran into a few technical freezes, but nothing game-breaking. Definitely recommended if you liked the first one!
An excellent space rpg, with lots of meaningful choices to make, that influences how the story goes and how you ultimately play the game with different perks.

скучная шляпа
Нормальная РПГ. Всё нравится.
I'm going to be brutally honest here. The first Outer Worlds had soul. It had charm. The companions were quirky, funny, and just the right amount of psychopathic to make them memorable. This time around? The companions are...fine. They're not bad, they're just kind of there. I spent most of the game wondering when the story was actually going to get good. Combat is fantastic and a high point of the game. The builds and perks are an improvement over the first game. Graphics are definitely nice. There's definitely more to do than in the first game, but somehow it feels like less. It's one of those rare cases where less really was more. I honestly cringe typing that because it's Obsidian we're talking about. Obsidian, you're killing me, brother. I almost wish I hadn't spent the time finishing this. By the time the credits rolled, I just sat there flabbergasted. It felt like I kept convincing myself the story was about to hit its stride, only for it to never really get there. The whole experience came across as one long stretch of plot slop with stakes that never felt particularly meaningful. And if you somehow manage to power through to the end, don't expect a satisfying payoff. You'll mostly be left wanting the game that could have been. Honestly, the ending reminded me of being a teenager when neither my girlfriend nor I understood that dry humping wasn't actually going to lead anywhere. Lots of anticipation, zero payoff. Final verdict: It's very mid out of/10
