About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Reviews
I liked the first Outer Worlds game and I really tried to like this game, too, but after roughly 20 hours I am just too bored of all that this game is throwing my way to continue playing. Admittedly, the planets look kind of interesting, but this only manages to keep me hyped for about half an hour and unfortunately that it really the only positive thing that I can say about this game. My main complaints are that 90% of the game is actually just a boring walking simulator with about 10% of combat mixed in and even these combat encounters are really unsatisfying as the weapons are just lame and most enemies are absolute bullet sponges -- many enemy encounters ended up with me cowering behind some rock firing 20+ shots from a repetition rifle to kill a single enemy. Sneaking is also not really an option in this game, as sneak attacks don't really yield any damage boost and you end up feeding the bullet sponge again. Then there's the factions, where each single one is apparently only made up of total nutjobs and I somewhat have the feeling that the protagonist is the only somewhat sane person in the game's universe. Most NPCs (including the story-related ones) are just babbling complete uninteresting stuff and I have started skipping entire dialog lines at some point as it has become just tedious -- not to mention that a significant part of the lore and quest-related information is fed to you via written notes and terminal entries and if I had tried to read through all of that it would have added another 15 hours of playtime -- if I wanted to spend my evening reading text then I would have bought a book and not a video game. This is not a terrible game, but overall just a really boring and bland one and nothing it offers motivates me to continue playing it anymore. Thankfully I bough this at a steep discount during a sale, because it absolutes does not live up to its 70€ price tag.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Amazing Game!
Obsidian fix this damn game. It keeps crashing, after all the recent updates. It used to run just fine before that.
Really enjoyed The Outer Worlds 2. On my first playthoguh I ended up just taking flawed which required me to accept every new flaw, which made the game slightly more challenging. However, nothing too bad. The worst part was was having to take the Easily Distracted skill which limited any skill progression. But really well written dialogue and story. I like how many of the quests could be dealt with in many different ways and had different outcomes depending on how you handled it. NPCs would remember your actions which you would be held up to later during the game as well. Gunplay is really fun, especially with all the different tools you acquire throughout the game, so movement can be really fun. Aiming and hitting enemies is satisfying. Explosive guns make killing enemies a bit to easy, although limited by ammo costs. Perhaps my first playthrough forcing my skill choice maybe ruined some guns' efficacy. Nevertheless, it felt really good overall and nice amount of unique guns. I wish modding guns would allow you to make your own unique, but seems like the effects of uniques are limited to those. Graphics were nice and ran well on my PC at around a steady 140+ FPS, so I am not complaining here. Also runs really well on CachyOS which I was running this on. There is some slight flickering on loading screens, which I am not sure is intentional or not, but limited to these. I didn't have any crashes, which was great! Going to do another playthrough soon, also need to try out the DLC when it comes out.
Miles better than the first game, very fun, still could do with being longer though
Fantastic game! I love the gameplay the story and can't wait for the expansions and love how they make fun of the people who buy the ultimate edition(I am one of those people). Absolutely hilarious and extremely enjoyable experience of an RPG!
Its not a very good game.
