Good story.. good game.... dlc is a little underwhelming but a good start if you want to see the tv series.. which start after the dlc in the timeline
great writing
THE GOOD (What I liked): "The Expanse: A Telltale Series" was beautifully written. The story and characters have depth and subtlety. As a lover of "The Expanse", I found this game's splendid writing to have genuinely added to that world! THE BAD (What vexed me): Why must the designers insist on intruding upon the story with a narrow and somewhat desperate Woke political agenda?! The story needed no incoherent rantings against the Free Markey (those damn "Inyas", nor did it need a lesbian love story. The historian Himmelfarb once blasted fashionable Frankfurt School history for ignoring "the pastness of the past" in service to strident contemporary politics. She was correct about science fiction also, when it prioritized the agendas of our moment with the "futureness of the future". THE UGLY (What made little or no sense to me): This game was far too short! I left wanting more! MY CONCLUSION: If you are interested in a good story with vivid characterizations and interesting choices, and if you can abide the embedded Leftist politics, it is well worth it to buy and play this game.
I enjoyed this a lot — I wish it had focused on telling its own story rather than having tie-ins to the main series that I felt were maybe a bit forced/out of place, but overall it tells the story fairly well, gameplay is basic but fun, and there are a few branching choices that have me curious enough I'll replay it at some point. As a fan of the books and show I think others will enjoy it too.
Well, that whiled away a few fun hours even though I don't know the Expanse background. The only problem was that every time Chrisjen Avarasala opened her mouth, all I heard was Admiral Ra'an from Mass Effect... oops.
Ganz große Erzählkunst, großartig. Telltale vom Feinsten.
Um jogo já feito
It has a decent story, only purchased it because of the upcoming third person game so I could get a look in the story and it was worth it.
