The Expanse: A Telltale Series

Sehr gutes Spiel. Die Steuerung in der Schwerelosigkeit macht viel Spaß, wenn man sich einmal rein gefunden hat. Die Story fand ich eher mittelmäßig. [spoiler] Im Grunde läuft es darauf hinaus, dass nichts passiert. [/spoiler] Das DLC ist sterbenslangweilig. Man sitzt an einem Computer, liest Texte und hört sich Sprachnachrichten an. Kann man auslassen. Dass man die Auflösungsskalierung im Spiel nicht einstellen kann, hat mich sehr gestört. Das war eine unnötig lange Suche in den Config-Dateien, für so eine grundlegende Einstellung. 50% war doch etwas wenig auf meinem 27" Full-HD Monitor...

7 Hours. So very short game. But nice story and very "Expanse" Worth it if on sale.

Really hoped this was a return to form for Telltale games after the disappointment of life is strange double exposure, and while the game wasn't terrible it failed to deliver on meaningful choices that impacted the direction and outcome of the game, the story didn't draw you in or make you feel connected to the characters. Overall it was a very forgettable game. It's also fairly short. if the game is short and your looking for a quick distraction then worth giving it ago.

ok i need The Expanse part 2 already!!

Not being able to save your progress completely breaks this game. It just takes the fun out of it when you have to start over from far earlier when taking a break or when you're get killed. And it's kinda the marker that's supposed to show you where you need to go that gets you killed because it doesn't really show.

Recommend only if you're a fan of the series/books and at a hefty discount as well. While I enjoyed hearing Cara Gee's voice and being in the Expanse universe again, I can't help but think that the game could have been much better. Given how high quality the Amazon series was in my opinion (I haven't read the books). The reality however is that this feels like a very lazy cash in on the original source's popularity. While I felt that the game was somewhat serviceable for my playthrough, I can see how other fans of the series would not think the same and would recommend against purchasing this. There is very little gameplay of note besides walking around and scanning objects for salvage or logs and the few choices the player is presented with don't really affect the overall story that much. It's also easy to identify which choices are right and if I'm being honest I only really liked Drummer and Khan. The brothers were somewhat annoying and poorly written despite having some dialogue that made me chuckle and Maya seems really uninspired. Virgil could have used a bit more polish and Cox felt very similar to the brothers in terms of depth. The antagonists were also pretty standard fare. There was no hook to their characterization and so doing away with them felt very natural because of the cookie-cutter nature of their aspirations and background. I reiterate that this will probably only be somewhat fun to fans of the series and I think even that is up for debate. For me, I felt it was fine for what I paid for (somewhere below $10 USD) . But if you aren't a fan of the series already before playing this, it's very difficult to recommend. If Steam allowed neutral reviews then I would grade this as such. But in the interest of helping future buyers: Buy on discount if you're a fan of the series and skip this if you aren't or have not watched the series/read the books. I promise that watching the Amazon series will be a way better introduction to the universe than this game would be.

Персонажи неинтересные, мир неинтересный, сюжет неинтересный, идея неинтересная, сеттинг неинтересный, эксплоринг локаций неинтересный, геймплея нет, выборов нет. Нуднейшая игра, прошёл до конца только из-за того, что довольно короткая. Купил, помня величие тогдашних Теллтейлов времён Ходячих мертвецов и Волка среди нас. Но в итоге оказалась худшая их игра, в которую я играл, а я играл во многие. Ещё и купил доп эпизод, который по праву можно считать худшим длс в игровой индустрии. Абсолютно никакой связи с оригиналом и оно нуднее оригинала в раз 5. В общем, я разочарован.

A short story driven experience set within The Expanse IP. If you’re not familiar with The Expanse franchise, I’d recommend watching the show first (potentially the books as well, however I’ve never read them and have only watched the show) Overall, it’s a fun time if you enjoy The Expanse franchise, with characters you’ll recognize from the show (and maybe the books, again, I haven’t read them) Sometimes the voice acting is a bit goofy and could’ve probably had a couple of retakes, but other than that I don’t have many complaints with this game. This game is by no means on the same level as Telltale’s The Walking Dead, but I wouldn’t call it bad regardless. If you’re a fan of The Expanse, you should be able to have a fun time with this game.
