The Asskickers is a satirical re-imagination of the 2D arcade beat’em up. Join Alex, Diane and Marcus in their action-packed journey through the heart of the modern urban jungles. Wrongly accused, our three heroes will stand up to a corrupt political and financial elite and make white-collar criminals discover the lost art of asskicking.

I can't, in good conscience, recommend this game. I know that the time on record reflects a very short period of time with the game play, but given the mechanics and what I did endure, I honestly couldn't tolerate any more. I was hoping it would be a fun side-scrolling beat 'em up game similar to Streets of Rage which, in all fairness, "looks" to be that way. The premise is the same, the style and design all seem to mirror similar titles, but the game mechanics are just off. The combat isn't fluid, combos are somewhat frustrating to pull off, and if you're not doing combos or jump attacks, your character's attack combos are non-existent. Basic attacks are limited to a single punch, there's no basic strike fluidity. Enemies are significantly faster than you too, so it's always a matter of chasing them around on screen while they stay just out of range and then resolving to just wait for their attack animation before you can hope to get a strike in. All-in-all, it seems like a very hastily put-together flash game. I'm quite disappointed with the purchase.
Can't play the game.
4 crashes in 10 min... The little I was able to play was clunky as heck. To see the shortest gameplay video ever look no further: https://youtu.be/B9Vkj-2waKQ
Una pija, El peor Beat’em Up de la historia. de oferta si quieren re venden los cromos
Good art, bad everything else sadly. Movement is floaty, hitboxes are off, attacks are inconsistent, and levels fail to allow you to progress at times. The idea is good, but even a little playtesting should have let the dev know to go a different direction with this one. Too many obvious problems in the short time I played, which is disappointing. I would love to see this recreated in OpenBOR. Maybe then, it would work properly. Until then, pass on this one.
