A great little game. For sure, the pace is slow, but I felt this was appropriate. The story is very much about the characters, not random objects. I enjoyed the setting and atmosphere. At the end, I could happily have played another game featuring Leonardo. Something about the period really appeals.

Plot is kinda interesting and dialogues are ok, but painful interface and ridiculous puzzles make this game really bad.

Great adventure game set in the middle age. A bit like Umbeto Eco's "The Name of the Rose" but different story. I never met ANY bugs in this game. But I enjoyed the game and the story a lot.

I recommend this - mysterious story based on The Name of the Rose, atmospheric sounds, graphic side is cute and it is not too short. On the other hand, slide puzzles should be banned, I hated that part of the game :( The relationship between the main character and his apprentice is kind of abusive and it disturbed me quite a bit. It is not the best game I played, but it is worth a try.

I was dubious at first (as the investigation takes a while to get going) but having just completed the story, I can say that I feel I got more than my money's worth. I really felt like I started as an outsider and came to get to know all the characters at The Abbey. This game wont be for everyone, but if like me you enjoy a slow-paced point-and-click intrigue then give this one a go. You might need to consult a walk-through for some of the more tenuous leaps of 'logic' but the story is solid and fun. Great ambiance. It's a pint sized Broken Sword.

Traumhafte Musik, schöne Grafik und Perspektiven Hochwertige Dialoge und Top-Synchronsprecher (Hauptfigur vom Sprecher von Liam Neeson gesprochen) Die Erziehung des Novizen ist mehr als rabiat, sehen wir drüber weg. Fazit: Ich bin angetan.

Jedna z kategorií Herní výzvy vybízí k hraní hry, kde ovládáme náboženského představitele. A právě v této adventuře se ujmeme role mnicha Leonarda, který má za úkol vyřešit záhadu ohledně jedné nehody. Jak již je popsáno v popisu této hry, příběh je značně inspirován románem Jméno Růže, který jsem nečetl, ani jsem neviděl jeho filmové zpracování. Nemohl jsem tak posoudit, jak moc autoři kopírovali původní příběh. První polovina příběhu mi přišla dost nudná a až zbytečně ukecaná. Později to ale začalo být mnohem zajímavější, [spoiler]zvláště při odhalení pravdy ohledně bratra Arcadia a jak se vlastně opat stal opatem. Tahle linka příběhu se už ale moc nerozvíjela a samotný závěr s pokusem o upálení a samotném odhalení vraha už zase byla šíleně zmatená[/spoiler]. Mnich Leonardo, který se snaží bez předsudků a na základě faktů vyjasnit pravdu ohledně oné podivné nehody, mi celkově nijak nepřirostl k srdci. Naopak na mě působil až moc noblesně, možná i namyšleně, jakoby během vyšetřování vždy věděl o něco víc, než jsem se jako hráč dozvěděl. Plus jeho chování k Brunovi mi taky několikrát přišlo až za hranou. Celkově vzato, spousta postav se ve hře chovají celkem divně a zmateně, až jsem občas pochyboval, že by v takovém klášteře vůbec dokázali spolu vyžít. Líbilo se mi grafické zpracování ve stylu pohádek od Disney, vypadá to fakt dobře. Hra je kompletně nadabovaná, avšak i hlas hlavní postavy mi přišel značně nesympatický. Hratelnost mi přišla průměrná, zamrzelo mě však, že zde není možné zvýraznit jednotlivé předměty na obrazovce a že pohyb v jednotlivých lokacích byl kvůli absenci rychlejší chůze či běhu až příliš zdlouhavý. Naštěstí zde funguje alespoň dvojklik na exit grid pro rychlý přesun do jiné lokace. Bohužel jsem narazil i na pár problémů s technickým stavem hry, kdy mi Steam verze několikrát padala kvůli nedostupnosti některých systémových souborů, které měly ve svém názvu španělské znaky, což Steam z nějakého důvodu nepřechroustal. Plus se mi asi v polovině hry smazaly savy, tak jsem to musel celé proklikat znovu. Tímto samozřejmě nekritizuji hru jako takovou. Celkově se hrou nejsem moc spokojený. Příběh mi moc nesedl, postavy také ne, dialogů mi přišlo až příliš. Snad jen ta grafika byla fajn, ale ta celou hru neutáhne. [6/10]

Quite a solid graphic adventure that reminded me a lot of the film The Name of the Rose. You are a inquisitor sent to an remote monastery, there you are quickly involved in a murder plot when one of the monks is found killed. Being an inquisitor, you are charged with solving the murder. You and your bumbling assistant must then go around talking to the other monks, picking up clues and solving puzzles in order to catch the murderer. The game is very much a traditional point and click adventure in the style of the old Lucasarts and Sierra games, though not quite as polished as those were. As I recall this game was actually released quite a few years ago before finally making its way to Steam, so it does show its age, but if you bear that in mind it looks good for when it was released.
