Tranquilo e diferente.
There The light é maravilhoso, e vale muito a pena...
Is this game worth your time/money? This was a tough one to answer. Visually, the game has some nice environments. They are however quite simple and repetitive. There is little to no level design. You are tempted to look behind every corner and explore, but there is nothing to find. The paths are linear, and except for one puzzle, none of them reliy on exploration to find a solution. Which is a shame, because you WANT to explore, the game just doesn't give you a reason. The puzzles hardly deserve to be called that. Most of them have you basically copy a shape that is shown to you. At this point, why have puzzles at all? I feel the strongest aspect of There the Light was the sound design. The music grows and builds on itself as you progress through the level, until you are engulfed by a beautiful soundscape. It almost makes up for the other missing parts of this. But not quite. All in all: if you want to support whoever made this game by paying them the equivalent of a beer, go for it. You get one or two hours of relaxing walking sim with a little interactivity and nice music in return. If you played the Witness and were looking for similar experiences, skip this one.

This game is in the vain of Kairo. If you played that you'll know instantly what that means, if you haven't, well, this game is more of an experience than a puzzle game. It's not really a walking simulator, as much as it's an exploratory experience peppered with small puzzles. There is an underlying story to the game - one that makes more sense then the one in the Witness - but overall the game is just there to look pretty and make you want to see more of it. Like Kairo, at it's core there's a mystery, but, just like Kairo, the mystery is secondary to the experience of having played the game. Don't buy this if you're looking for something like The witness, this isn't that. Don't buy this if you're looking for a more narative experience like The Valley, this isn't that. Buy this is you like the images the game developer teases you with and would like to explore a small portion of that world. EDIT. Before I forget, I played this game on linux via Proton with no issues. In case some linux users might be interested in it, it will work.
beautiful iq puzzles
A simple but enjoyable walking sim, peppered with very light puzzles - having paid less than £1, and having stumbled across it by searching for short walking sims, it met my criteria. The style of the narrative elements is very reminiscent of Journey, as is much of the soundtrack, with both components elevating the game somewhat. The puzzles themselves are certainly basic and quickly become repetitive, but with a play-through time of roughly an hour they manage to avoid becoming tedious.
It's fine, but not worth 5 dollars. Get it on a steam sale or skip bois
