Escape Simulator is a first-person puzzler you can play solo or in an online co-op. Explore a growing set of highly interactive escape rooms. Move furniture, pick up and examine everything, smash pots and break locks! Supports community-made rooms through the level editor.
Interactive Puzzles: Rummage through 28 rooms filled with puzzles designed by real-life escape room operators. If something is not nailed to the wall, you can pick it up.
Online Co-Op: All the rooms are playable in an online co-op. We recommend to play built-in rooms with up to 3 players (but you're welcome to play with more). Community rooms have been tested with up to 10 people. Customize your character and join with friends to work-out puzzles together. More heads are better than one!
Examine Everything: Read through books, examine ancient artifacts and find clues to riddles. Need to cross-reference a clue? No, problem - just pin it to the screen.
Community-Made Rooms: The game includes a room editor with which you can design your own escape rooms and puzzles. Through workshop integration, you get to play awesome things the community has created. Currently, there are more than 4000 community-rooms available!

If you love escape rooms, this game is a delightfully unhinged way to test both your puzzle‑solving skills and the stability of your relationship. I played with my husband, which mostly involved me yelling “MOVE!” while he rotated objects at the speed of a confused sloth. Strangely, it brought us closer together. Trauma bonding, I guess. Those cursed tokens, though. Some of them are hidden so well I’m convinced the developers hate us personally. On the bright side, the game ran perfectly, no bugs, no crashes, just pure “why is this lever not doing anything” energy. The puzzles range from “ooh clever!” to “oh come on,” which is exactly the emotional rollercoaster I signed up for. I wasn’t desperate for more when we finished and then my husband immediately bought Escape Simulator 2. Because apparently he enjoys watching me suffer in HD. Verdict: 8/10 excellent fun for two puzzle‑loving weirdos who enjoy shouting instructions at each other.

This game's clearly got a high production value, and is fun when it works... but it almost never works. The puzzles usually make sense, at least in hindsight. But the broken physics system means any clues not in your inventory could fall through the map at any time, or under another interactable, or behind a cabinet. It's telling where the developers' priorities lie when a game has 11 DLCs, but core systems still don't work five years after release.

To me, this is the standard to which all other escape room games should be compared. It's truly the Portal of the escape room genre. Been playing it for years, and they're still updating it and adding new levels, which is great
Well made, nice designed puzzles and art, and we have been enjoying it in coop mode. Linux note: The native Linux version (installed by default) it is completely broken. The windows version works flawlessly with compatability tools built into steam. Keep this in mind when installing the game!
Хорошая игра в жанре квест комнат. В игре много карт и локации, которые не дадут вам заскучать. Если вам этого будет мало, то есть еще несколько DLC и карты от комьюнити. Часов на 40 точно хватит, это еще почти без карт от игроков. Рекомендую проходить в двоем, так как одному скорее всего будет скучно, а если больше чем 2 игрока, то не получите ту радость в решении головоломок, ведь вы даже не поймете как и какие задачки решили другие. Единственный минус игры- это отсутствие русской локализации и придется иногда переводить текст. Игру рекомендую! 10 спрятанных жетонов из 10

They removed the best part of this game, the VR compatibility. the whole reason I bought this game was for VR, now thats completely pointless.
