For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Tardy, developed by One Wing Cicada and published by Drageus Games S.A., is a thoughtful and atmospheric sci-fi adventure that merges point-and-click puzzle solving with a minimalistic narrative about isolation and discovery. The game places you in the shoes of Ramto, an engineer who awakens alone aboard a derelict spaceship drifting through the void. There is no crew, no clear mission, and no obvious way home—only an array of cryptic terminals, malfunctioning systems, and mechanical puzzles that stand between you and the truth. From its first moments, Tardy establishes a mood of quiet uncertainty. It does not rush to explain itself or overwhelm the player with exposition; instead, it encourages curiosity, rewarding observation and patience as you slowly unravel its world. The game’s art style plays a crucial role in shaping its identity. Rendered in pixel art, Tardy’s visuals evoke the feeling of old-school sci-fi adventure games but with a distinct sense of modern refinement. Each environment is small but carefully designed, using limited color palettes and fine detail to convey the cold sterility of metal corridors and flickering machinery. The subdued tones are occasionally accented by the glow of monitors or warning lights, emphasizing the loneliness of space. It’s a restrained aesthetic that amplifies the sense of being trapped in a silent, half-functioning ship—a place both alive and dead at the same time. The visual design is complemented by a haunting electronic soundtrack that hums in the background, lending an eerie calm that mirrors Ramto’s quiet determination. Tardy’s gameplay focuses heavily on exploration and logic-driven puzzles. Instead of traditional inventory-based mechanics where players hoard items for later use, the game simplifies interactions to emphasize problem-solving through observation and pattern recognition. You’ll find yourself tinkering with terminals, rewiring devices, and navigating through system interfaces that mimic old command-line computers. Each puzzle feels integrated into the world, not like a disconnected mini-game. This design choice gives the player a sense of inhabiting the role of an engineer—someone who must think pragmatically, not magically, to make sense of a failing ship. The puzzles vary in complexity, and while some are delightfully clever, a few border on obtuse, requiring experimentation or trial and error. Still, they fit the atmosphere perfectly, reinforcing the sensation of deciphering a machine that wasn’t built with your understanding in mind. Narratively, Tardy unfolds with restraint and subtlety. The story is not delivered through cutscenes or lengthy dialogue but through fragments—messages left behind by the crew, system logs, and the mechanical echoes of past events. Ramto’s isolation is both physical and emotional, and as you progress, the mystery of the ship’s fate intertwines with hints of broader conflict and philosophical undertones about human ambition and survival. The tone is melancholic yet grounded, with moments of dry humor breaking up the tension. What makes the story effective is its refusal to spell everything out; it trusts players to piece together meaning through context, a choice that makes discovery feel personal and earned. The result is an experience that feels introspective rather than epic, drawing you deeper into its world without ever overwhelming you with spectacle. The game does take a few risks that won’t appeal to everyone. Some sections introduce light arcade-style sequences that momentarily break from the contemplative flow of exploration. These moments can be jarring, especially for players expecting a purely puzzle-oriented experience. Additionally, the checkpoint system is limited, occasionally forcing you to repeat sections if you fail a timed puzzle or make an error. The English localization, while serviceable, shows traces of its non-native origin, with some lines reading awkwardly or losing subtle nuance. These flaws, while noticeable, don’t fundamentally detract from the experience—they simply remind you that Tardy is a small, hand-crafted project rather than a heavily produced commercial title. Despite its imperfections, Tardy’s greatest strength lies in its atmosphere and pacing. It captures the feeling of loneliness and wonder that defines classic science fiction while filtering it through the lens of an indie puzzle game. Every sound, flicker, and fragment of dialogue contributes to its overarching sense of mystery. The lack of handholding invites immersion; you are left to your own devices, quite literally, to figure things out. This sense of independence is empowering in its simplicity. Each time you fix a machine or unlock a new room, it feels earned, and each new revelation about the ship’s fate carries weight precisely because you had to work to uncover it. Tardy is ultimately a game about curiosity—about touching the unknown and making sense of it piece by piece. It doesn’t rely on spectacle or speed but on atmosphere and deliberate pacing. For players who enjoy meditative puzzle adventures that value mood and discovery over constant stimulation, it’s a quiet gem. Its pixel art, melancholic tone, and hands-on problem-solving combine into something distinct and memorable. While it may not appeal to those seeking action or cinematic storytelling, Tardy excels at what it sets out to do: creating a reflective and tactile journey through the cold silence of space, one terminal and one puzzle at a time.
overall good for in between. can recommend it.
As much as I liked the retro graphics, the puzzles are quite obtuse and too ambiguous, leading to frustrating fumbling. The character walks very slowly and the game is still quite short.

Fun little adventure with a nice puzzle system.
7/10 Nice little story. Predictable though.
Хорошее приключение, рекомендую к прохождению!
