Pros: - The story driven aspect. It's not just a mindless city builder. You have to think about what is best for the camp. - Easy to understand. The in-game "tutorial" is just a set of directions, i.e. "build this...build that"...etc. But it's very simple and the UI is easy to navigate. - Customizable. Everything from the size of the map to the dificulty and frequency of challenges to what your tech tree should focus on are all custom settings you specify when you start.
Good gameplay, very engulfing.
It's one of the better post apocalypse city builders because there are many missions and an overriding main objective to build a large shelter that requires many steps along the way. There are many building types and a decently long tech tree. The DLC's did not add much, but neither did they detract. So, on balance I'd say they are worth it at a discount. The neighboring clans are good for trading resources. Making them allies is hardly worth the hassle one needs to go through. I never figured out what the point of terreforming is or even how to do it, though I built one. This is from another dlc. My biggest complaint is the general lack of explanation along the way. This caused the game to be twice as long as necessary, which would have been fine except for my other minor complaint of not being able to make time pass faster than the highest setting the game gives. One other issue is the difficulty in planning my town. By mid-game I was just putting new buildings wherever they could fit. Overall, it is a good game, nonetheless. This was my first game, so I know how to do better the next time around. 75/100
laid back and fun
chill
A very feel good survival building game that has a good amount of thinking and strategizing put into the gameplay from the developers. A blend of building, harvesting resources and even going out into the World Map to do even more things with your Specialists. Quests and colony events are aplenty, with very good personalizations in the difficulty settings; culminating to a good amount of replayability. Recommended for those looking to have a casual time building and taking care of your colony and even a good challenging time by increasing the difficulty.
Now in June 2026...this Game is Fun. Played all Anno and other ..but this here is hardcore, and this is good so. 10/10 Points.

Challenging but fair, gameplay gives me that "one more turn" type experience, even though it's not turn based.
Eine fast 1 zu 1 Kopie eines anderen Spiels und von der Grafik bekommt man ja Augenkrebs, was dazu führt das man so gut wie gar nichts sieht.
