Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 1 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Sudden Strike 4 sends you off on three extensive campaigns set amongst the battlefields of World War II.
Commanding the Allied, German or Soviet troops, you will lead over 100 different units into battle; like the German bomber Heinkel He111, the Russian T-34 tank, the British Hawker Typhoon fighter plane and the notorious German Panzerkampfwagen VI "Tiger".

In a first for the Sudden Strike series, you can now choose from one of nine individual commanders, such as George Patton or Bernard Montgomery, who will each allow for different approaches to combat and boast unique abilities.

Prove your strategic expertise in over 20 demanding singleplayer scenarios and the challenge-focused skirmish mode.

Exploit the weak spots of tanks, set up an ambush, occupy buildings with infantry, outmaneuver the enemy with clever positioning or unleash devastating air strikes – how you approach each mission is up to you!

Modding support with Steam Workshop integration.

Reviews

Лучше поиграйте в действительно хорошие игры, такие как Company of Heroes, а ещё лучше Men of War - вот это примеры отличных игр.
I have play this game for 300 hours.
A mostly fun WW2 tactical game (an RTS it is not). I played only the single player. Worth giving it a shot if you liked Company of Heroes or the previous Sudden Strike games. Pros: + Some tactical thinking required , due to limited unit availability + Good vision and damage mechanics (matters which side tank is facing) + Storyline is a great touch with mission before/after journal entries and also cinematics + Decent graphics Cons: - Pretty much only one optimal way to play every mission (to get 3 stars), tends to get grindy - Not being able to build new units can get annoying really quickly - Some inbalanced Commanders (e.g. Armored commander seems useless for single player, lacking tank HP replenish). - No coop
This is really a quite enjoyable, fun and historical experience. You can play on easy and run through the campaigns without much fuss or play on normal and have a more tactical experience. I've really had a fun time completing the challenges on each mission which limit your forces in various ways such as no air support or the inability to steal enemy equipment, it is like solving a puzzle at times when determining how to attack a fortified enemy position. I can't speak much to how this game compares to previous Sudden Strike entries but this game is must have for RTS fans, particularly if you are interested in WWII history/setting. It is a very fun and addictive game and each of the DLCs are also worth your time if you enjoy the base game. Each DLC adds new campaign missions with interesting scenarios and achievements that are in line with the base game.
english/українська My biggest dissappointment about this game is not absence of tactics and stategy, not kindergarden difficulty, not tiny maps, not absence of variaty... but YOU, players, who post positive reviews. It is so sad! Please, hear me out, and thats not "oldfart compleining" - you have no idea, how WWII strategies been degraded and simplified, if you post positive review, If you admire this maps ang campaighns. I have no problem, if you have fun in this game, I just want you to understand - you having fun NOT in strategy game.. its... its something else. For years I was desparetly looking for strategy, that will substitute old isometric(!) Sudden Strikes and Blitzkrieg games, and when I have read reviews on SS4 I had so much hope... And I nearly cried after Barbarrossa mission in German campaign, when I just dropped my tanks in frontal attack and with nearly non strategic decisions won. I thought first mission was just tutorial... Then I thought sencond mission is just next to tutorial, so its quite easy and primitive... But when I saw THAT Barbarossa mission, I just desided to make refund, but unfortunatly, because I was giving this game chanse for to long, there was no possibility to bring my money back. It is so bad, that its first game, I wished to make refund... So, in the name or real strategy games - don`t buy it.
Sudden Strike 4 was my first contact with the Sudden Strike franchise. Before playing it, my experience with World War II RTS games mostly came from titles like Men of War and Company of Heroes, so I was curious to see what made this series so popular. After finishing the campaigns and DLCs, I think I found the answer: the original Sudden Strike probably earned its reputation years ago. Sudden Strike 4, however, feels like a franchise that stopped evolving. The game is not bad, but it reveals almost everything it has to offer within the first few hours. Most missions follow the same structure, objectives rarely become more interesting and the gameplay never develops beyond its initial formula. New maps, new armies and new campaigns appear, yet the experience remains largely the same from beginning to end. What disappointed me most is that I struggled to find anything that Sudden Strike 4 does better than other RTS games in the same genre. Mechanics such as ammunition management, vehicle repairs, artillery support and unit preservation already existed elsewhere years before this game released. The problem is not that these systems are bad. The problem is that Sudden Strike 4 does very little with them. For a game released in 2017, it often feels like the biggest upgrade over its predecessors is graphical. The core design remains extremely similar to what the franchise had already been doing for years, while other RTS series continued experimenting with new ideas, mechanics and ways to approach strategy. By the end, I did not hate the game. I simply felt indifferent towards it. It has plenty of content, but content alone is not enough when every campaign, DLC and mission starts blending together. The game never surprised me, never challenged my expectations and never gave me a reason to see it as more than an average RTS. I can understand why longtime Sudden Strike fans enjoy it, especially those who grew up with the earlier games. For me, however, it felt like a series that spent years standing still while the rest of the genre moved forward.
