insgesamt gut. kann es empfehlen.
Classic known by every eastern european kid
Still the best game in the series, the soviet campaign is a stand out. just as good as i remember it.
An old RTS game that doesn't allow it's players to play skirmish mode against AI. As a result you are left with a stupidly difficult campaign.
Men of War is the game that truly established the series as one of the finest World War II tactical RTS franchises ever made. Building upon Soldiers: Heroes of World War II and Faces of War, it refines the formula with larger battles, greater tactical freedom, and an outstanding level of historical authenticity. The gameplay remains unlike anything else. There is no base building or mindless unit spam—every soldier, vehicle, weapon, and shell matters. Whether you're infiltrating enemy lines with a handful of commandos or leading a large combined-arms assault, every mission rewards careful planning, positioning, and resource management. The campaign constantly introduces new situations and objectives, keeping the experience fresh from beginning to end. The series' signature Direct Control mechanic is better than ever. At any moment, you can manually take control of any soldier, tank, artillery piece, or crew-served weapon to line up the perfect shot, exploit weak armor, or save a desperate situation. Even today, few tactical games offer this level of precision and player agency. Across 19 missions split between the Soviet, Allied, and German campaigns, Men of War delivers some of the most memorable tactical battles in the genre. Highly destructible environments, historically accurate equipment, and exceptional mission variety make every operation feel distinct. The game can be unforgiving, and the amount of micromanagement won't appeal to everyone, but that's also what makes every victory so rewarding. Pro tip: Hold CTRL to enter Direct Control mode. Mastering when to switch between RTS commands and Direct Control is the key to success—and yes, don't hesitate to abuse it.
