lockpicking alone is BS and the reason i quit this game. ♥♥♥♥ you bethesda. haven't made a single good game since skyrim and even that was mid af.
Great game if you like RPG type open world exploration.
Long story short. I tried to like the game. Have been a fan of Bethesda Games for a while now. Since Morrowind. And I've had my worries from one game to the next, but ultimately I enjoyed each and every Elder Scrolls and Fallout game I have played. Starfield has shown that the things that worried me won out at Bethesda. I tried. I really tried. I looked through a bunch of nooks and crannies to try to find something I would enjoy. I found a few fun quests, but not enough for me to recommend this game. On top of all of that. It is buggy and breaks too much. Like currently, was going to give Terran Armada a try, but it broke in the FIRST QUESTLINE! The hatch I need to drop down to go through the ship that was attacked doesn't actually open when I activate it. I looked it up and it is what I am supposed to do. Looks like it's just broken. I did some trouble-shooting, but I keep asking myself why I am trying so hard to find something enjoyable about this game. I will say that the game feels like it had certain care paid to parts of it, but not others. And it definitely seems like more care and attention was paid to the United Colonies than the Freestar Collective, especially in the faction questlines. With seeming a bit more negative portrayal of the FC in the Colony Wars, and that the UC was more in the right. And the worst part? You can hear people complaining about the Colony Wars, about any source of tension in the gameworld, and it always just hits flat. Side with the Crimson Fleet? Don't worry, nobody cares. Side with the cops? Still no one seems to really care. Join the UC Vanguard? Kind of fun, but still doesn't seem like it matters much. Freestar Ranger? Who cares? Ryujin operative with basically a super power? Can use it a bit, but still really lackluster. Feel like something along the lines of Skyrim civil war sort of decisions and questlines, or like choosing a faction over others in Fallout 4 would have made the game hit hard. Instead of a bland, static galaxy, you would have conflict. Aligned with a faction? Could have had outposts be faction related and providing benefits to your faction, or at least getting interesting attacks and sieges. But nope. Little consequence. Little impact. Little interest. You might find something to enjoy about the game. I would personally recommend the UC questline, but that's mostly it. The other faction questlines are mostly bland and boring. The game feels like it has a lot of unrealized potential. That it has a lot of premises that sound like they could be fun. But after sinking a bunch of time in, it seems mostly unrealized.
(Add 60 hours of Xbox playtime to my Steam playtime.) Starfield is a vastly over-hated game. It has flaws, it's far from perfect, but it's also so much better than typical public opinion would have you think. It has the bones of your typical Bethesda RPG, as you might expect, but instead of exploring a region of Tamriel or post-apocalyptic America, you're exploring the Settled Systems, a cluster of systems in a region of the Milky Way with its own settings, factions and history. The story is fun, the characters are likeable, and the aesthetics are visually appealing. The biggest negative talking point about this game is its procedurally generated planets, and if you're unfamiliar with Starfield, you'd be forgiven for thinking the entire game is procedurally generated. It's not. It has as much hand-crafted environmental work as any other Bethesda RPG, it just happens to be nestled inside a much wider span of generated environments in order to sell the feeling of a vast, explorable frontier. And perhaps the game would be better if Bethesda had focused on a handful of fully hand-crafted planetary locations, but I'm someone who genuinely enjoys exploring those quiet wastes, deserts and valleys. It's certainly faster to get to locations now with the vehicle they added. Ignore the haters and the outrage merchants, and form your own opinion. Check out the trailers, the screenshots, the overviews. Does the game look and sound interesting to you? Then try it for yourself. Don't just mindlessly regurgitate the same tired talking points from people who would have you angrier about yellow paint and reflections in puddles. Those people are just being loud for attention, because we live in an age of the internet where getting attention of any kind can make you rich.
Nach 550 Stunden bin ich beängstigt das auch dieses Spiel in den DLC Wahn einschlägt. Bis Dato war es ein Super Spiel mit viel Tiefe, jetzt will es nur noch Tief in deine Geldbörse.
-It's a game about nothing -Lot to explore but with nothing exciting behind the exploration -Main story is rather short -Some side stories a cool; feels more like mini stories patched togather that alone could have been good games
I´ve played this game for more then a thousand hours. That should tell you alot. Is it a perfect game? No, but it´s still a good one
why no mods in this game? Thats what make skyrim a great game. The creators need to put modding in this game and it would be amazing.
