Bland, boring, sanitised. I tried really hard to give a ♥♥♥♥ about any of the characters or the story or find any desire to explore anything and then I got to a space station with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ blue striped shirt trope accent man and tried to just blast him in the face with a shotgun but he not only didn't care he didn't die. god help us all for ES6.
Great game if you like RPG type open world exploration.
che juego hermoso
I love the concept behind this game, and I’ve always been a fan of Bethesda. However, there are two things that really detract from the experience and mean I can’t recommend it: 1. The game freezes and crashes: it’s very frustrating when you can’t play for even an hour straight before the game crashes for no apparent reason. 2. There are far too many loading screens. Even within the same city, there are loading screens just to move between districts. There’s no excuse for this in this day and age.
It's basically Skyrim in space. I've seen reviews that beat up on the quick navigation options saying it's like traveling from a pull down menu, but where some people see it as taking away from the "flying around space" aspect, you can still fly everywhere manually if you want, just like in Skyrim you can walk everywhere and never use fast travel... but if you're trying to complete a quest, it's very nice to be able to quickly jump from system to system. Between major quest lines, I do fly around manually a fair bit. A lot of the planets are barren wastelands, but that seems fairly realistic to me, and there are still things to do. The ship designer was one thing that drew me to the game, and while it has a few frustrations, it's still fun to be able to design and refit your own ship and reconfigure it as many times as you want if you have the cash. Personally, my take on games is that if I spend at least an hour of enjoyable game time for each dollar spent on the game, it's worth what I spent. Starfield has exceeded that in just a few weeks. Oh, and there are easter eggs here and there.
I´ve played this game for more then a thousand hours. That should tell you alot. Is it a perfect game? No, but it´s still a good one
man, dont know where to start here, sat back watching this game after release for a few years, then figure with all the "Updates" and i say that tounge in cheek, it would be more of what a space exploration game should and could be in 2026.. its painful, i made it just ten hours and just couldnt anymore, the fact its a space game and you cant fly a ship? well other then if you condider flying in empty space, having a very simple badly designed fligh model. you cant fly on a planets surface? you cant land or take off? its just a glorified mobile base with fast travel and loading screens... oh man and the loading screens ... even on a very fast pc and on a fast SSD the loading screens for everything and i mean everything... is immersion breaking. navagation and mission tracking is horrible.. there is no mini map to find your way around just a blue dot on screen, which the blue dot bugs out. it doesnt change per mission, it constently has you back tracking. and if you on a planets surface just to access the map is a pain. trying to fly to planets of figure out how to follow a quest if a challange, if you select the blue quest marker on a planet and land, i.e. loading screen that not the mission, you then have to re enter ship, loading screen walk to piolet seat, cut sceen, then take off cut scene, then back in space loading screen then you have to select the icon for the area, NOT the quest marker, loading screen, cut sceen land, get out of seat, cut scene, get out of ship, loading screen, then walk howerever far to the mission, or have a land sxs that magicaly appears... the dialoge choices are very very long... choices dont matter... NMS has the best flight model and is so immersive, StarCitizen had a million bugs but is so much more immersive and fun to play then starfield. only if they could combine, or if bethesda knew how to make a game, no fetch quests, fly here, get this, then fly all the way back just to talk to a npc, zero respect for the players time, 20 cutscenes and loading screens later, when in a space game could have been handled by a simple Cell phone call lol... if i could id refund. glad i got it on sale.
Dope game, doesnt deserve the negativity it received on launch, and still has now. I never expected it to dethrone Elder Scrolls mainline games, but i still had alot of fun with it. The procedural gen needed more work, but the scale of the worlds can be really impressive. The improvements to the Creation Engine are massive, it is great to have the ability to both drag/drop AND also use the Decorate mode! The shipbuilding is amazing! Especially with some mods. I probably spent 1/4 of my total playtime in the ship builders. I also enjoyed the base building overall, it improved over Fallout 4 a few ways, but it wasnt an amazing or innovative system. I enjoyed it mostly building an aesthetically pleasing view overlooking alien trees, planet rings, etc. The combat is fairly basic, but I did have a blast with the slow-mo jetpack gunplay. That was really rewarding and fun. The melee was sadly quite unimproved from Fallout 4, so I didnt spend too much time with those builds. Some of the traditional Bethesda difficulty scaling (aka damage multipliers) was annoying, but there are plenty of skill points and when you max out the relevant damage perks it seemed to outscale the difficulty. Especially with Terran Armada guns. Speaking of - the DLCs I thought were much too short but at least they were well done. The environments in the first one and the weapons and zero G combat of the 2nd DLC were enjoyable enough. The MTX market to buy more DLC wasnt what a lot of people want, but I think it is good to offer mod authors a way to earn $ for their work. Unpopular opinion, I am sure. The in-world justification for the NG+ system is excellent, and it can provide a lot of replayability for some ppl, but others may feel like the losses isn't worth it. My only complaint here is the dragon shout upgrading is now locked behind entering NG+ at least once, so it can feel like your first playthrough is a waste of time/effort. The upgrades are 100% worth the time though!!
