I was looking for a decent Star Wars dogfight game, But had to skip hundreds of boring dialogues with yawn potential. Body Type Anaconda and Bison. Had to choose between one white bread with eyebrows, 8 nutellas and 2 curries, Chose Imperial, but the game forced me to play REBELLION instead, surrounded by more nutella and a weird-looking lizard.
Recommended because I don't want people to look past this game as a fun way to kill some time. But, it doesn't have much in terms of story or characters to keep you hooked. The two main characters have some progression but other cast is pretty bland. Gameplay gets old fast, but might be better in VR. Not worth 2.5k INR, get it if it's on sale
Besides the online being dead, story mode is just a very long tutorial. No writing or character development. Feels very empty. There are nice things such as the ship control system, power mechanics if you play in the unassisted version. But no content.
I absolutely fell in love with this game, played it in VR with HOTAS (Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS) and its one of the most immersive Starwars games I have played. Shame it never got any post launch support just an extra dlc or few multiplayer updates could have kept this game alive.
if you got a game controller that can connect to your PC (be it wired or bluetooth - I prefer an Xbox Controller) playing makes it easier
I don't like the fact that I don't like this game very much. No matter what control scheme I picked or customized, the game always felt clunky. I mostly came here because I really enjoy Ace Combat's gameplay that gave me an itch to try and find other games like it, and this wasn't it unfortunately. If you're looking for a good space combat game, try playing Warframes' Railjack mode. Although it does take some time to get there, it's worth your time if you want a better feeling space combat experience.
Doesn't work on steam deck even though it's verified. Tried numerous proton versions including GE. EA account log in is mandatory and text boxes don't line up with the input properly. Took me half an hour to even log in and then there was no sound, despite trying numerous settings changes. Refund requested.
Typical Disney DEI slop. They went Hammerlock on the Empire squadron commander and made him gay. He just HAD to mention his husband even though it has no bearing on the story or character development. Just shoehorned in to make the nose rings at Disney happy. I'm so tired of decent games being ruined by SJW ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. He only mentions it like 9 missions in so it's too late to refund. Honestly, I would just avoid any Disney products at this point.
