Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
SH2 is a decent enough game with a nice cast and ok story, but the game itself feels more like a test demo for mechanics to be used in other Atlus games. It just feels unfinished and very linear with much of the game just feeling like it's not fleshed out enough.
ABSOLUTE CINEMA idk why ppl cry about game is nice enjoy

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I been struggling hard whether i would recommend this one or not. and its the perfect example why steam needs a mixed option for reviews. the game itself and it's story was engaging but the content around it is god awful. the combat felt very basic and the soul matrix was selfharm to complete. the dungeons, except the final one are too same-y and recycled multiple times. the best thing about the game is the soundtrack. it's straight up beautiful, heavy nier vibes. very sad this wasn't better. this was my first experience with non persona megaten games and I'm kinda let down.

The game does have good points. Ringo is a delightful protagonist, the graphics are crisp and the colours pop nicely and it is a very good game to play while you watch something else on the side. Aside from this however, pretty much every other part of the game is painfully boring. The battle system is bland and lacks the depth of combat from Atlus' other series, all the dungeons are boring to look at and half your time is going to be spent in this blank void teleporter maze of a dungeon where everything looks the same, the music is forgettable, the characters do have interesting arcs but ultimately fail to make you care about any of them but the biggest impression you get is that at default speeds, everything about the game is painfully slow. Every animation in battle and even Ringo's movement speed seems to take 3x as long as you'd think to the point that not using the toggle to double battle speed is akin to watching paint dry. Despite changing the Devil Summoner/Shin Megami Tensei battle system of summoning demons to something more familiar for players coming over from the Persona series, the story is ultimately too concerned with the Devil Summoner setting to draw Persona fans and the changes to combat and the mishandling of the established Devil Summoner setting will alienate any Devil Summoner fans who make it far enough in to the game to find these out. Avoid this game, but if you are an Atlus fan who can't help but be curious about their biggest fumble in recent years, please at least buy it on a steep discount so it doesn't hurt as much financially.
As a gamer that has over 1000 hours playing overwatch and league of legends in each, i loved this game, i came from persona 4, finished persona 3, persona 5, persona 5 strikers, shin megami tensei III, shin megami tensei IV and shin megami tensei V, once i finish soul hackers 2 i will be there for shin megami tensei VV. As for soul hackers 2, the plot is somewhat thin, but the characters grow on you, and the battle mechanics are to be enjoyed if you have played other atlus game.
Finished the game. I'd rate it slightly above average, 6/10. If you enjoy Atlas games or turn-based combat, give it a go on sale. Expect 60-70 hours to complete the main story and there's probably another 10-30 hours if you want to go 100% completion. The beginning of the game is stronger than the end. Combat, the story, text dialogue, music all becomes repetitive the last few main story chapters of the game. I was just trying to get through it more than having fun. I don't regret playing this game, nor will I ever pick it up again. AKA not even close to a must play, but you may get a decent amount of entertainment out of it for 15 bucks on sale.
This is my second attempt to finish this game (the first one was back at launch on PS5). Since release they added some important QoL updates, but the core problems are still exactly the same. This time I only managed to push a bit further before dropping it again. The game was made by the team behind Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE. Funny thing is, aside from QoL and the story, Soul Hackers 2 is worse than Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE in pretty much every way. And it’s not like the story in Soul Hackers 2 is actually good – it’s just less bad than the one in Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE. The main issue with Soul Hackers 2 is the low budget and the fact that the game doesn’t even try to hide it. The dungeons are absolutely awful and repetitive, and the Soul Matrix (the character story dungeon) is even more boring and samey. Progression feels weak, and the whole game feels stripped down compared to most other Megami Tensei titles. Honestly, it’s probably one of the weakest entries in the entire series.
